The Psalms are wonderful for this.

One example, Psalm 118:

Give thanks to the LORD, who is good,
whose love endures forever.
Let the house of Israel say:
God's love endures forever.
Let the house of Aaron say,
God's love endures forever.
Let those who fear the LORD say,
God's love endures forever.
In danger I called on the LORD;
the LORD answered me and set me free.
The LORD is with me; I am not afraid;
what can mortals do against me?

With love in Christ.

I'm sure by the time I am through typing you will have a dozen or so verses, but what gets me through the day in addition to Bible verses is Praising & Thanking God for Who He is and What He has done for me. There is so much power in praise and worship. The Lord dwells among the praises of His people and in His Presence is fullness of joy. The Joy of the Lord is your strength. So in order for you to have strength to make it through the day, you must start your day in praise and worship of the Most High God. Tell Him how much you love Him and how great He is. Thank Him for all the blessings in your life. Sing praises to His name and watch how much joy and strength you will gain!

Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Psalm 63:7-8 Because Thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of Thy wings will I rejoice.
My soul followeth hard after Thee; Thy right hand upholdeth me.

Psalm 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.

my prayer- Lord, help me to remember that nothing is going to happen today, that You and I cannot handle together.

Be blessed in the Lord!

Dear Big-Mon,

I've enclosed below some bible verses. i think the ultimate comfort though is having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus doesn't promise us a problem free life- but He promises us forgiveness of sins, and He promises His presence (the Holy Spirit) when we believe in Jesus and the Holy Spirit is called the comforter. He gives us peace in the midst of a storm. He gives us joy and hope when at times it seems that life is against us or trying us to our limits... The Scriptures do help as well- so i hope you enjoy the verses below- and if you'd like to know more about how to know Jesus as your Savior please do email me.

Kindly,

Nickster
Psalm 23:4 NIV
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 25
This is an excellent Psalm for consolation, help and deliverance - It is helpful to read this aloud as a prayer to God

Psalm 31 NKJV
23Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints! For the LORD preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person. 24Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.

Psalm 34:18 NIV
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 68:6 NASB
God makes a home for the lonely; He leads out the prisoners into prosperity, Only the rebellious dwell in a parched land

Psalm 119:48-50 NIV
I lift up my hands to your commands, which I love, and I meditate on your decrees. Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope. My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.

Psalm 119:76 NIV
May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant.

Psalm 147:3 NIV
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Psalm 147:11-12 NKJV
11The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy. 12Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!

Jeremiah 29 NKJV

Romans 8:31-39

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 NIV
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NIV
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 NIV
May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

1) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
2) I am the first and not the last. I am above and not beneath. I
am a lender and not a borrower.
3) I am the righteousness of God.
4) Peace be still.
5) God is mindful of me.
6) No weapon formed against thee shall prosper and every
tongue that rises against thee in judgment, God said He'd
condemn it.
7) Yea in all these things we are more than conquerors.
8) All things work together for the good of them that love God and
who have been called according to His promise.
9) Before the foundation of the world, God knew me.
10)The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to
lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me besides the still
waters. He restoreth my soul. He leadeth me in the path of
righteousness for His Namesake. Yea, though I walk through
the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For thou
art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Thou
anointeth my cup with oil. My cup runneth over. Thy
preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my
life. And I will dwell in the House of the Lord, forever. I'll be
praying for you. May God Bless

There are quite a few to choose from but the one that resounds deeply for me is: "Take my yoke [teachings] upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart... For my yoke is easy and my burden [worldly possessions] is light." --Matthew 11:29-30.

Peace be with you.

"Who told you that you were naked"-Genesis.
I'm sorry, but that one is so funny out of context. It always makes me feel better. I remember the first time I was aware of this. My sister said it, I asked her where she got that, she said the bible. I called her a liar, she showed me where, I laughed.
