It's already having a major impact on the earth. The polar icecap is melting; to the point in one place where the Eskimo's are endangered when they try to haul their whale kill up onto the ice to cut them up. And the ozone layer is depleted and that affects many things, one of which is how dangerous the sun is to our skin.
