It's just sad to see people having these weird ideas without having any first hand experience with the church itself and spread the word around. That's bearing a false witness.

A few years back, I become friends with a Mormon woman whom I met in the gym, watching our first grade sons play YMCA basketball when they were in first grade. (I'm a born-again Christian.) LDS lady and I would quickly tire of the conversation of the other basketball moms, and after about 10 minutes we'd move away from them (or were they moving away from us? LOL) and argue about religion, and WE BOTH LOVED IT. We'd stop between rounds and talk about recipes we liked, and deeper things like struggles we were having with our kids. Then we'd go at it again, with Bible pages flying.

We both knew each of us was as evangelical as the other and not likely to convert, but we were also both very competitive and loved to argue! We'd visit each other's houses and while our kids played, we'd talk about mom-type things, but the topic would always come around to religion.

Our discussions about God and faith were "real" talks, not "I'll tear down everything you believe about God with this brilliant argument" talks. There was a lot of laughter in our conversations, and once, when we talked about some really personal things, tears. We don't see so much of each other since our sons got involved in different sports, but I still consider her a friend. I know she understands born-again Christianity in a way she hadn't before. Our conversation on the Trinity wasn't tense or confrontational at all. She said she'd never heard it explained like that, and that it made sense to her now how people could believe in something like the Trinity. Me, I have emergency food stored in my basement now, like the Mormons do.

We learned from each other.

Why do Mormons have a persecution complex when they are the ones doing the persecuting?

Mormonism attacks every other religion, especially orthodox, Christianity and the Bible. It was Joseph Smith, the founder of the Latter-day Saint movement, who made the first assault by claiming that all of Christianity was an abomination in God's sight.

Mormons have a self-exalted polygamist human god and a polygamist Jesus who are related to Satan, and Mormons think they are related to Satan as well. It's not too hard to figure out who the real Christians are.

Instead of worshipping Jesus Christ as God, Mormons think they can be their own gods. This is Lucifer's plan as spelled out in the Bible, and this goes on in the secret Mormon temples that are decorated with pentagrams and has rituals with the dead.

So why don't the Mormons call their religion what it is, leave the rest of us alone, and stop trying to take over the world and the universes?

Because Satan is very persuasive, he can lead them astray and that's exactly what he wants. Why do you think people fight so hard against us??? It is Satan, they are doing his work and he is laughing. But, he will not prevail, we know that.

We need to be good examples, loving, charitable, caring... everything our Savior would have us be.
Also, most people, in my experience that "know the BOM is not the word of God" have never even read it. They are just going off of what their pastor or friend or neighbor or hateful website said.

The world will not be free of the harassment until the millenium and then of course the Celestial Kingdom. It is a constant fulfillment of prophecy that the church will spread to all the earth and it is!

they could't go away everybody on my own and as a Catholic Christian, i recognize what i'm speaking about FPs do not recognize the way a lot a debt for his or her personal existence ( their New testomony, Tritnity, rituals, etc) to Catholic/ Orthodox Christianity and may be very ignorant, bitter and paranoid( yet i recognize godly and form FPs also) they favor to rework the international yet do not Mormons do an similar? FPs trust that they are contained in the right church too( nicely, the most nasty look to o adverse and insecure to assert that they extremely look to trust that they are contained in the right church) As a Catholic Christian, i trust, profess and testify to my conviction that the Catholic Church is the 'good', truest, fullest and optimal Christian Church that I have found and that i have studied a good number of them Catholicism/Orthodoxy is the mum Church of all modern-day Christian church homes Many Mormons I have met honestly recognize not something of the historic Trinitarian Christian faiths and highly Catholicism and they look to have inherited all the Funda Protestant misconceptions and biases adverse to Catholicism and Catholics Please enable me to ask you to study the Catechism of the Catholic Church and have a glance at Catholic solutions and EWTN and different Catholic Apologetic internet sites to get your questions responded and get the information about Catholicism and Trinitarian Christianity Mormonism ( Salt Lake LDS) is extra wisely labelled Christo-Gnostic because it has continuing public revelation, teaches henotheistic polytheism, seeming eternal regress, progression to godhood, secret rituals, etc i am going to call anybody or crew Christian who calls himself or itself such to be well mannered yet doctrinally Mormonism (Salt lake) isn't Christian and is extra remote from historic Christianity than the monotheistic faiths of Judaism and Islam or perhaps Zoroastrianism save on interpreting different religions stay and enable stay

No offence Larry, but who says everything in the Bible is correct? Yes, I believe in the Bible's message of love, but is it scientifically possible for instance for all species to fit into an arc and live in peace and harmany for 40 days and 40 nights? Is it scientifically possible for human beings to converce with doves? Is it possible for human beings to be swollowed by fish, and then be spat out and still be alive? Really, leave the mormons alone, and start thinking for yourself.

People hear what Mormons believe on television or so forth and they don't understand them and the fact they go to people's houses like Jehovah's Witnesses and they don't like people different from them and with different beliefs and people think its more fun to make fun of Mormons, that's why Matt Stone and Trey Parker do it, the creators of South Park.

Mormons are doing evil thing by spreading a false doctrine. We have no right to alter the Word of God. Its only through Jesus we will reach eternity. We should beleive in Trinity ( Father, Son and Holy Spirit). Mormons are misleading and misguiding people. It is very sadening thing. That is why Paul says we should protect the Gospel. In the end days all these things will happen, thats what the Bible says. False doctrines and false prophets arise in these last days. We should be very careful with these things, the ultimate anwser for overcoming all the cult groups is by faith and by the Word of God.

Most Mormons like being asked questions about their religion if the person asking is sincere. Your question should be why do people ask insincere questions about Mormonism?

OK, lets examine the Mormon religion for a few facts since you asked:

A)In the book of mormon, I personally found 53 major conflicts with the bibles teachings. The indicates that one of the two books- the Bible, or the Book of Mormon- is a lie. You cannot have 2 holy books contradict each other in teaching.

B)Out of all the battles and citys that have been described in the Book of Mormon, not a single shred of archeological evidence exists to support it. Out of all the citys, roads and buildings that have been built, NO EVIDENCE EXISTS TO SUPPORT IT.

Example: the Book of Mormon clearly states that the Garden of Eden was located in Missouri. No mater how you modify a map, there is simply no way for this to physically happen. Yet the overwhelming evidence- such as the Tigris, Eurphrades- still exists on maps, and can be seen to this day.

Based on textual errors and conflicts with the bible, and based on the physical evidence, the Book of Mormon is a lie.

I've met a few Mormons, most are decent people who, because of their beliefs, treat other people with respect.
I can't say I ascribe to their views, though - Too changeable.
