Depends on how bad you want to help. This works if you are willing to do it. My daughter was terrified of frogs (no idea why or how) and would have nightmares and wake up crying. I told her I knew a trick to keep the frogs away from her bed. I took a long piece of yarn or you could use rope and circled her bed with it and told her that no frog could cross the magic circle and she would be safe as long as she was in her bed. She never had another nightmare and she stayed in her bed every night instead of coming to ours. You have to be convincing because if she does not believe you it will not work.....Tell her no bugs can cross the magic circle and then pray that no bugs get into her bed. LOL..

My son (almost 4) is deathly afraid of centipedes for some strange reason...I'm not even sure if he's actually seen a live one before. At any rate, he has horrible nightmares about them and he details them to me frequently...he'll say: The giant centipede was dancing in the living room and you and daddy were on the couch and I was there and it started hitting me over the head with all of his big legs and I started running and he kept hitting me and on and on. He has dreams like this about once every two weeks or so and he wakes up sobbing. I just reassure him there is no such thing as giant centipedes and we look at pictures of them on the computer or in a book and talk about how they are not dangerous. I also ask him every night before bed what he is going to dream about and he usually says something like the Cars movie or going boating. I don't think there is much else you can do...just try not to overreact to bugs yourself...I've had to work on that myself.

Sorry to hear that, but you are not alone in this as many reported cases concerning phobias have now been noted.

This may be due to a number of factors but let's not jump the gun here.

Hope this helps
