I was never a stronger believer in my faith, only after I read how and why he converted.

In a few words. A hypocrite, poor soul. I looked at many things about him, not just that he converted to Islam. There are many people who convert to Islam, and I respect their choice, but not him. Sorry, Just my honest opinion.

Yes, he is a good singer, just like someone else mentioned we haven't heard his music recently. He's a person of great talent. I really don't understand what made him to change his religion. Sorry if anybody gets offended but one should also think that not a single Moslem is supposed to change their religion and if they did the punishment would be death (probably not in US & Europe and in non-Moslem Asian countries. I don't know about bible, but all I know is that any Christian can be a Moslem but not the vise versa. So what made him decide......?

He's a retard, just like all other muslims. Why anyone would ever want to wear one of those ugly-*** dress things that has to cover your whole body during hot summer days is beyond me.

Just another victim of too much drugs in the '70s - then he sang about love and God (he was Christian then - "Morning Has Broken") but then became an Islamic fundamentalist (endorsed the fatwa against Rushdie - so much for his pacifist ideals). He is active, still, for all seven people who care (and no, I don't, I just read Rolling Stone carefully). One nasty fool.

Anyone who adopts Islam - and fully believes in what the qoran has to say, needs help. This is one sick individual but one amongst millions of others who are incapable of logic and reason. What a great shame.
