If I knew your county and state, I could give you contact for your local dog clubs... there are agility events, obedience, canine good citizenship, and junior handling events open to all breeds or mixed breeds.. You might ask at your local pet supplies where such clubs are..Petsmart and Petco usually have a list of all dog organizations in their area, and local shops usually have such information.

First off, it's not clear what you mean by 'not registered.' If you mean not registered as a purebred, you can enter it in shows or events which are not based on breed standards (such as obedience or agility trials) - provided the sponsoring organization permits this. Some are fussier than others.

If you mean 'not registered for the event' than usually you can't enter. Check with the organization though since sometimes you can make last-minute entries. Some places are fussier than others.

In any event, if you're not following the rules of the event then at least you can't win any prizes and you might get forcibly evicted or arrested. Some places are fussier than others.

You ***CAN'T****!!!!

You can't show un-registered CRAP at a real/AKC show!!!
Conformation is for evaluating BREEDING STOCK!!! NOT mutts/mongrels! W/out PROOF that isn't-w/AKC's FULL REGISTRATION-that's all you have.

It ***might*** be possible to ILP a dog for entry in PERFORMANCE events but that takes months & *money* & you may be turned down anyway.
