I haven't eliminated all sugar from my diet, just refined sugar. I've had fruit today (and a sugar-free Jello cup), and all I can think of is finding something chocolate and devouring it!!! Any advice?

Instead of strict avoidance, try to find things that are healthy and satisfying for you. I had a chocolate bar that was dark chocolate with chilies and cocoa nibs. It was really good and not very sweet. I don't use calorie free sweeteners because they are so sweet. I try to get used to eating things that are less sweet but satisfy my craving for the sweet taste. I sometimes have yogurt, sweetened with maple sugar. I like the lemon flavor with berries, either fresh or thawed unsweetened, It tastes great and is healthy without lots of added sugars, I've gotten the whole wheat fig newtons, which are sweet, but have a good amount of fiber.
Try to focus on nutrient content and fiber first, then find it with less sugars. Good luck! It's so hard sometimes with the yummy
things displayed all over when you're hungry!

I also had this problem.

I cut back on my intake and, then, I cut out all refined sugars. I've found that chewing minty gum, brushing my teeth after meals, drinking water or eating a small amount of salted peanuts has helped me to beat sudden cravings for sugary foods.

Good luck!

take a seat down and think of of what each and all of the sugar somewhat does to you. a splash right here and a splash there provides as much as lots. initiate via understanding how lots sugar you extremely soak up. then once you start to crave it, it may appear like a bigger deal. additionally, save your purpose in suggestions, notwithstanding if it somewhat is to lose 2 kilos or to tone up your abdomen...that way, each time you % sugar, you could think of of what you easily would desire to realize your purpose. in case you could stay faraway from it for 21 days, you will initiate a sparkling habit of no longer needing sugar...yup, it takes 21 days to make a habit.

Coral Calcium. This stuff works wonders. cravings are caused by some dificiency, and the Coral Calcium fixes it. I know I don't sound technical, but stop by a vitamin shop and get a bottle. take 2 a day, and watch in amazement as crappy foods lose their appeal within a week.
