The commercial about who depression hurts, where depresion hurts, etc. It shows a bunch of miserable people and families falling apart and a sad dog looking at his owner with a face that says, "What is wrong with you?"

Every time I see the commercial I want to cry because I am so depressed and I know that it hurts. Does this commercial rub it in with you as much as it does with me?

Yes. I can identify with it also. It is so true to life for us that suffer with depression. It explains it so well...everybody hurts from it, and ever time it comes on if my daughter is in the room she looks at me like, Mom. that's you and my husband just keeps quiet because he is in denial that depression has a hold on me, and he believes it is just something you can snap out of.
I'm sorry...I didn't mean to go on and on...

Are you talking about your personal depression, or the depression you feel watching a depressing commercial? I think that its a self-fulfilling prophecy in a way, to revel in how depressing that commercial is. That's the way depressives are. They stay depressed because the reality of joining the world and being happy might mean jumping into the world and actually living life....which can be depressing.

Hi Red. If you are that depressed, you need to get help. I feel for the people in the commercials, but no, I do not cry. I wish you luck, and I sincerely hope that you take the advice of the commercial and seek professional help.

no, it doesn't bother me, but I don't have the time to be depressed. I have to many people who's world would come crashing down if I wasn't there to support them.

You need to see what it is that is making you so incredibly depressed. Try and make goals for yourself, just small ones at first. With confidence you will become a stronger person.

OK the dog gets me a little, but its just cause I really love dogs and he really looks sad.

I haven't seen the commercial but it does sound sad. I feel sad that you are sad. Try to think positive. Think of things to be thankful for every day. There are so many. Negativity will destroy us. Push it away and think positive. We are what we think. Be happy and look confident. People love that. If you think no one cares; well I do.

obviously a depressed person made that commercial because they nailed it, or at least what it seems like to a person with depression. I "love" when people give advice like" don't be depressed, it's no fun" No sh##!
As if anybody would actually choose it for themselves
