The Palm Springs Follies run during winter months. There is always the tram which as already been stated. The desert is going to be having some concerts coming up soon. The most talked about one is The Who playing at the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens. Outdoor activities include hiking at the beautiful Indian and Tahquitz Canyons. Lastly, McCallum Theater has many shows worth seeing.

The palm Springs Aerial Tramway takes you up the mountain for a nice dinner, bring a coat. The weather right now is about 85 degrees, so golf and tennis can be played, the huge water park is open for the kids, there is a small botanical gardens, a great Desert Museum, loads of shopping, incliding a huge outlet mall. There is an Indian Casino right in the center of town, within walking distance of everything. There are hot air balloon rides just out of town, but it is pretty much a leisure retirement type resort town. Ask where Tahquitz Falls (right in town) are and take a short day hike up to the falls. Poolside anywhere is generally the best place to be, especially in the middle of Winter when you know what everyone else is doing back home!

There are a couple of casinos and plenty of golf courses.
There are a few real nice Bed & Breakfast spots as well,,,www.lakelaquinta.com
Its a place where allot of retired people live.

you can go to the palm springs aerial tramway, you can visit the other desert cities, you can go to idywilld go to mexico, or go play golf.

YES.. if you like outdoors you have to find the tram and go for it... beautiful.. i went about 25 years ago... wow..didnt realize how old i was lol
