If its a fungal infection you should have it treated. If its just a red sore bumpy rash, then try Body Glide. Its an anti-friction product specifically for this problem and I've been told by friends that it's fantastic. You shouldnt really use talc as it can block your pores and cause boils. Good luck :)

It's caused by friction - and that's the reason the talc helps, because of the silica that reduces the friction.
Go with the vaseline - but only if it is friction - get your doc to check before you use anything at all.

There is something new out called Monistat soothing care Chafing relief powder-gel. It comes in a small tube and you rub it on the areas that rub or chafe. It is a gel but is like a powder. It works great. You can find it at stores in the aisle with the pregnancy tests and lube. Hope this helps. It is great stuff.

The only think which helps me is talc and I always have a small one in my bag especially in the hot weather. Also I tend to wear trousers now and hardly ever dreses or skirts.

Wear loose-fitting clothes and rub a little vaseline (petroleum jelly) over the affected area - lots of athletes use it to stop chafing when they're running, so it does work!

Wash and dry. Dab your skin with a tissue soaked in Surgical Spirit this will bump off any fungal infection and harden the skin. This is cheap too!
Make certain your underwear is washed at 60C to kill any fungi.
PS - it will sting like hell but the result is worth it!
