I'd go with Tim Sylvia, the UFC champ. He's almost 7 foot tall and can wrestle and take him down.

It depends on how much time Tyson has to prepare. There is simply no question that someone like Royce Gracie doesn't have the same natural athleticism of a Tyson. So if you give Tyson two years to train for MMA he probably decapitates Royce or most other UFC fighters. Really against a grappler he would have to master take down defenses. At the same time you have to remember that if Tyson hits a Gracie, a Hughes or a Sylvia with a clean right hand or hook they are going to sleep.

Of course if you just throw Tyson in with no time to prepare he has a good chance of losing. It is just a matter of whether Tyson gets taken down first or whether he knocks the guy out first.

Tyson possessed (previous annoying) one-punch knockout ability, which might consistently make him a danger. in spite of the undeniable fact that, in very almost something yet a organic boxing tournament, the percentages are with the UFC champ. the present heavyweight champ is Cain Velasquez, who's bigger than Tyson, and possesses good kickboxing, yet is best undemanding for his wrestling skills. previous champs like Brock Lesnar, Randy Couture, Ricco Rodriguez, Mark Coleman, Shane Carwin, Kevin Randleman, and Josh Barnett might get Tyson to the floor and not utilising a difficulty, to that end nutralizing his boxing. different former champs like Frank Mir, Rodrigo Nogueira, Andrei Arlovski, and Bas Rutten might additionally tear him up on the floor, in spite of the undeniable fact that they at the instant are not extremely undemanding for their takedown skills. Even then, Rutten, Arlovski, and Maurice Smith ought to apply their kickboxing skills to throw off Tyson's recreation; boxers do no longer do too properly against leg kicks. the only former UFC champ who Tyson has each element over is Tim Sylvia, because of the fact his spectacular replaced into predictible and rudimentary in comparison to Tyson's, and he did no longer seek for out the floor recreation too many times. in fact, an out-of-shape Sylvia have been given knocked out via an over-the-hill Ray Mercer a pair of years in the past.

Tyson over Tim Sylvia...because both are stand up fighters and no one could stand with tyson in his hay......and by ufc champ, we assume you meant ufc heavyweight champ, cuz thats what weight class tyson was in.....and most people out there think chuck liddell is the only ufc champ.

It completely depends on the style of fight.
If it stayed stand up no one hit harder or faster than tyson. If you could get past the punches and get him down he'd be done in seconds. Keep in mind in boxing he could only hit you in certain areas. the limit is much less in ufc. He would be very dangerous. So if it stays on the feet tyson wins. on ground everyone else wins

No boxer, Tyson icluded, has a chance in an MMA fight even against mediocre opposition. Those guys are trained to fight on the ground and there is no way any of them would try and stay on their feet. This being said no MMA fighter has a chance in the boxing ring with even mediocre opposition as long as the boxer attempts to box them and not just slug it out. These are two very different sports and both rquire training and dicipline. You cant just throw someone into them and expect them to be successful. MMA & Boxing are not streetfighting.

Royce Gracie challenged Tyson in his prime back in the late 80s. Tyson wisely turned it down.

I would say the UFC champ. Tyson was a good boxer, but that doesn't make him a good street fighter.
