This is a very interesting question. Many women with too much body fat will say that you are most likely perfect as you are....any man that loves you (or woman if that is your preference) will most likely tell you the same.
As for me, i am now 36 years old, yet most people only guess me to be only 28-30 (which bothers me that i am looking old now), when i was younger i was dying for my body to change and become move curvy. until i was 17, i was lucky to get an A cup bra that actually didnt look like i needed to stuff it, then by 19 i was into a c cup. every time i looked in the mirror, i felt that i was still lacking....tho i had turned a few heads, i would have never ever ever in my life gone out in public in a swim suit at the beach. to me, i didnt have the hourglass shape, i didnt have 'curves'. then at 23 after having my son, and breast feeding WOW i had boobies and a more curvy figure! But after a few months, i looked into the mirror and once again was not happy....now all i could see was all that "extra" stuff called fat that actually makes a woman curvy. Tho i lost most of my baby having fat, i never went back to that straight up and down body i had before. of course all that time i was unhappy and wishing i could change it, covered up my boobs and learned to wear clothes that minimized my hips. Now, at 36....when i look in the mirror, all i can long for is how my body looked back when my son (who is now 13) was only 2! My boobs are still with me...but now i look in the mirror and notice how they are not the same shape as when i was 23....i am 'curvy" and hating it still, tho i am always told that its in the right places. 5 ft 3, 125 pounds....but when naked in mirror....well i see that fat hourglass shape, long to make my hips more straight up and down....the lil belly pooch is there....and i dont see the definition in my muscles like when i was even 27! then i turn on the tv and see music videos and movies where it seems every single female is really skinny with virtually no body fat or curves....i see paris hilton being put on posters , i see run way models and chics on magazines, i see all the dancers in videos, and guess what? they are all skinny with no curves! the only thing that even gives some of them the illusion of curves is how they pick clothes with certain styling or detailing. Then i started purposely looking for women who had more curves....ok came up with beyonce, and jlo....and a couple others....but they are skinny and have genetics helping them out for the butt....my only models or famous people with bodies like mine are women like marylin monroe and betty page....yea me huh? all dead and not in style, but what i learned was that beauty is classic....each woman has things about her that make her sexy , attractive, and appealing.
maybe the answer for you is to look around and see all that you are blessed with....no struggle to find jeans that dont leave fat hanging over the edges....capitalize on your own body the way it is....pick clothing that plays up the good stuff....think paris hilton!! or worse comes to worse, talk to a doctor to see if there is something you can do with your eating habits to gain weight if u are finished growing. develop style and life that reflects this attitude of self acceptance...because as you age....and even if you change drastically....you may never realize you are just fine the way you are at any given moment, until its too late......like me.

Well, I was never actually happy with my body, but I think my best shape was when I was in my early 20's. even after I had my first baby and lost all the baby weight, I looked pretty good.
I always struggled to either lose weight or keep the pounds off, but was never seriously overweight until after my 3rd pregnancy (now have 50 pounds to lose 2 years after the baby, just too discouraged and "given up")
Anyway, even with the extra 10-15 pounds I didn't want, I was still not curvy enough, which is why I wanted to lose that weight. I felt my waist was too thick and I needed to be smaller to "fit" my bust and hips.
I dont' think it was so much the pregnancies as it was that I didn't get the weight off that I gained in a more timely manner. It kind of "settled" and now it feels like it is stuck, and I am more curveless than ever, just now am fat and shapless, whereas before I felt thin and shapeless.

I had my best body at 25, pre-child. I know several women who look fabulous AFTER kids. It's a matter of keeping those healthy habits during and after pregnancy.
More than likely, pregnancy will leave you with curves. Two women I knew who looked like boys pre-child now look like real woman. They still are the same weight and fit into most of their old clothes, but they are more hourglass figured.
During pregnancy is one of the few times in life the body will actually produce fat cells. So, if you let yourself get fat, you have all those excess fat cells you created to contend with. They may shrink up, but they will NEVER go away. So it's best to not gain too much weight during pregnancy, just the prescribed 15-26 pounds.
Don't worry about getting fat. If you are young and have good habits, you can find ways to get back in shape, plus breast feeding burns LOTS of calories and gets you back into shape faster, while keeping the boobs big.
I hope you're not thinking of getting pregnant just to get curves. Children are the best experience on earth, when you are ready for them. All the inconveniences that come with them are well worth it, but only you will know for sure once it's all said and done.

Ages 11 to 22. I have never had children, but the other women I know who have, the more children they had, the more problems they had returning and keeping their bodies in good shape. One of my neighbors had like 7 kids and her body was so large and incredibly shapeless it looked like she weighed hundreds and hundreds of pounds. Not all women have this problem, especially celebrity women who can afford to pay a nanny, go to the gym for hours and hire a professional trainer.

Before my baby
I worked out a lot and ran I was really in shape.
During my pregnancy I gained 100 lbs...I ate all the time and was tired and I had toxemia, so I think that added to it.
But it runs in my family...
so it might not happen to you but most woman do gain weight after having kids.

Definitely pre-baby! But I didn't appreciate it until after it was 'gone.' And to make matters worse, some of it, like stretch marks and excess skin, can not be fixed with diet and exercise alone (and I can't afford the surgery!). But on the other hand, since motherhood, I'm completely amazed at what my body can do and what I can survive!

I am a lot more curvey after children but not all in a good way. I now have stretch marks, sagging breast, and wide hips. I would have to say my body was much better before children....
