People will give you quotes I'm sure. But people forget the bible has been changed over the years and the original text does not state anything about being gay. Having sex with children of the same sex along with the same sex was viewed as a sin. People twist the text around to fit their own views.

It has that you shall not lie with a man as with a woman, it is an abomination in it but nothing about a woman with a woman. But then I don't think that a book that has been rewritten so many times has all the right stuff in it. Just look at what all is in it. A woman cant wear men's clothing but now everything is the same. We cant have cloths with two kinds of thread which leave out Cotton and polyester. So I don't think that the many many forms of the bible are what God had in mind. After all there is a rule about JUDGE NOT.. But look at all the people on here that think God hates gays. God never said that but they think they know Gods mind so the Judge gays. Just keep in mind not to believe everything you read.
But please don't forget Jonathan and David, Ruth and Naoma

The Bible actually does not make mention of the gay lifestyle however the following verse is what most fundamentalist use as their "proof" about God saying homosexuality is an abomination
Leviticus 20: 13
"'If a man lies with a male, as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.
Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.
Those were old testament..... here are a few in the new.
Romans 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Until the day when people provide me with God's phone number or email address where I can contact him personally I will form my own opinions and not rely on the Bible as the word of God since that book has been altered over the centuries by men with an agenda.
I'm not saying there isn't good advice to be found in there but to blindly follow a BOOK, written and edited and reworded and modified to suit the purpose of rulers and Popes, just doesn't make sense to me.

It is interesting that all the usual suspects are here - but let's cut to the chase shall we? Leviticus was written specifically for the Priests of Levi - they were a tribe of Israel who were specifically called to be priests, and they were Jews. None of the laws in Leviticus applies to Gentiles, because Gentiles, at that time, were rejected by "God." Secondly, most every verse in the NT against "homosexuality" was written by the Apostle Paul - the same Paul who took part in the murder of hundreds of Christians, including Stephen. This is the Same Paul that says that women are to sit down and shut their mouths in church, to submit to their husbands, and to keep their heads covered in church. This is the same Paul that said a bishop (greek for "Pastor") must be the husband of one wife. Yet there are thousands of women pastors and evangelists. The problem with the Biblical question is that people tend to pick and choose what they believe, and then use scripture to justify their answers. When asked what was the greatest commandment (by the disciples concerning the 10 commandments) Jesus abolished the 10 commandments and issued 2 new ones. Honor thy father and mother, and love your brother as you love yourself. Yet, while Jesus was still alive, Gentiles were still not eligible for salvation. Only after Peter received his vision of the clean and unlcean foods was salvation offered to Gentiles. To be sure, the laws of Israel do not apply to the citizens of the United States within our borders. Neither can you apply Jewish law to the Gentiles. In II Samuel you find David, the King of Israel, the "man after God's own heart" proclaiming his love to and for Jonathan. That love, "surpassed the love of a man for a woman" according to David. That in itself does not prove David and Jonathan were lovers, but it does prove that there is a greater love that can exist between men than between married couples. Ruth and Naomi had this same type of love. ("Where thou goest I will go, your people shall be my people.") Jesus and the Apostle John had this kind of love (the apostle that Jesus loveth.) Only the Apostle John died a natural death at an old age. Coincidence? I can take 2 verses from the Bible and make them say something God never intended. They are both scripture, and since most Christians consider the Word of God infallible (without falsehood or error - the prime authority) Let this be a lesson to you: "Judas went out and hanged himself." Jesus said, "therefore go ye and do likewise."

Sorry Johnny, but I seem to answer this question at least once a week. You can find it in Leviticus, right near where it says that eating lobster will result in eternal damnation and wearing clothes of mixed material is a mortal sin,
1 corinthians 6:9 does not mention man lying with man or anything like it. It states that man should not be effemenate. Throughout history 'christians 'like shyboy... have manipulated the bible to make it mean whatever thay want it to mean
