It is all about selling your self. You are only want to know this person. It is not the worst thing in the world. It is the greatest. If it doesn't work out, she will say no. If it works out, she will tell you know about 10 years for now. Either way you will need to practice at getting the word no from a woman in your head. tee hee. Have fun!!

Put it this way. There will be many women to come and go that will affect your life. Don't dwell on one, if it doesn't work out. People fall in love multiple times in life. So with that said, just go for it dude. If things work out and you guys get married and your happy, hallelujah. If not, oh well keep on trottin. Its not the end of the world if you get rejected. Just know there will always be others if things don't work out.

small talk is the easiest less threatning thing to do. simple as how's your day going? you like that one show....? whatever it takes to start small talk. i always say getting to know someone is the best and worst time of life. worst because you don't want to mess up, best because you got a new friend!
