Yes, all vertebra animals have bones, and they hurt just like ours. Just because they can't say they are in pain, doesn't mean they aren't. I think that if you could only chirp, and you were in pain, then no one would know except other animals, because they sense their pain. Say a guy gets hit in the pp, and all guys can feel and sense that pain. So yes they can feel the pain, it is ripping they muscle and fat tissues, and they can feel it, just as if we broke a leg except we can say it hurts, and they can't.

And then some! Think of a bird’s bone as being a fluorescent light tube rather than a stick. When you break it in half it will shatter and fragments will fall everywhere. When a bird breaks a bone it shatters in the same manner. Even if treated, there’s no guarantee it will ever heal properly.

Broken bones hurt, that's why vets and rehabers uses the pain med called Metacam. Great stuff for pain management for broken bones and other pain for birds. Ther are some who think that that birds don't feel pain, but I've heard the cries if birds sick or injured and it's a very different call than when they are happy playing or eating or talking to you or each other.

What do you think? Of course it would and it may even kill them if they didn't recover and also wild birds would get killed by predators!
