In this statement she explains her outburst at the CMA awards...

"THE IDEA THAT I WOULD ACT DISRESPECTFUL TOWARDS A FELLOW MUSICIAN IS UNIMAGINABLE TO ME. FOR THIS TO BECOME A FOCUS OF ATTENTION GIVEN THE TALENT GATHERED IS UTTERLY RIDICULOUS. CARRIE IS A TALENTED AND DESERVING FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR."

It got attention because what she did was ridiculous. Is it me or is this the season for misread jokes? I know and expect that when you are in the public eye you will make a bad joke or say something the wrong way or even let an emotion slip when you don't mean to.

It still doesn't make it right given it was taken the wrong way. Joke, mistake, or stupidity, Faith should apologize for what she did and not act so suprised when people take her reaction at face value. How can it be taken as a joke when she really hasn't shown herself as that kind of person on television before?

Not that any of this matters but why is it so hard for a person to just admit they screwed up?

I think the first person took my question too seriously. This is the net, not Congress, people just make conversation. I just wanted to write about something other than the election. sheeeeeesh!

Carrie is a great singer and artist. But what faith hill said really was unnessicary and yes, she should have apoligized about it. but she didnt and that is life. eventually she will think back and want to apologies. but right now she is upset, that a new artist got Female Vocalist of the Year, and she will get over it.

I think that she just can't admit she made a mistake. (I mean, not many people can) She's always carried herself so well, maybe because she's always been on top?! This is a sign of what's to come for her. She's not on top anymore. A newer younger version has come in and taking over. I'd be scared for my job if I were her. I don't like that music and won't buy either one of their cds or go to their shows. So, basically I'm just saying that my opinion is not biased....and did anyone see the look on her face? it wasn't a joke!

Yeah i think of it style of sounds like a comedian tale yet for some reason no person has any sense of humour and under no circumstances have been given it. I recommend whether she extremely replaced into irritated that she under no circumstances have been given the award there is not any way that she could have made that reaction by way of fact she knew she replaced into being watched. i think of she merely theory it could be humorous. I merely ought to declare she DID be attentive to she replaced into on digital camera - why could she no longer have? additionally she says 'what?' INTO the digital camera and he or she does not have if she did no longer be attentive to it replaced into there now could she?
