She's only a year. Always lived indoors. Neutered, not de-clawed.

Try putting her outside.

I would recommend you try to keep her inside if possible. There are just way too many hazards for them outside.

I work in an animal hospital and we see all kinds of horrible things happen to outdoor cats. They get shot, stabbed, poisoned, attacked by dogs, hit by cars, diseased and so on. Outdoor cats can also have trouble making it home when they get injured. Sometimes they just end up curled up in the bushes slowly dying while you have no idea anything is wrong.

Indoor cats usually come in for their vaccinations and maybe an ear infection or simple cold here or there.

Some cats will go outside naturally while others are afraid. If you have a cat that is scared to go outside then it is not a good idea to make her go out. Most cats do better indoors anyway, that way there is no trouble with other outdoor animals or getting injured or killed by a car.

i just had to put down my cat today. he was an outdoor cat who lived 13 years. just because a cat goes outdoors doesnt mean they will not live a full, happy life. he starting going outside ever since he was a kitten though. i feel that it really depends on the cat. my other cat is indoor because i dont feel like she could take care of herself outdoors. if she is already a year and not used to being outdoors it may be best to keep her inside.

Why would you want to do that . I'm trying to keep my cat indoors!! He keeps getting out and I'm worried sick! He can get hit by a car, someone can take him or hurt him, an altercation with another cat, who may be infected!

I had to get extra shots for him, and the other 2 cats in the house. Which came out to $150 plus the visit charge of $40 per cat!!

It's just not worth it for either of you!!

Don't. There is no sound reason for allowing a cat to roam free outdoors. Outdoor cats have much short life spans than indoor cats and they are more susceptible to disease, illness, injury, abuse, and death.

Please don't put her outside! So many bad things can open to an outside cat and I can't imagine why you would want to put her outside. If you really want to give her the outside experience, go to the pet store and find a small dog or cat harness that fits her securely and a leash and let her spend some time outside with you in a safe way. You will possibly have to deal with fleas or ticks though and cats used to being inside are often easily spooked by outside noises. Please, please, please keep her as an inside cat. She deserves to be safe!

If it isn't too much trouble, don't put her outside or only put her outside in an enclosed area. So many cats run wild and get hit by cars etc. Also by keeping your cat instead you legthnen its life

Dont let that damn animal get in the house again till it gets used to staying outside the house.

Dont tell that there is a danger for the cat.

In order to gain something you have to give up some other thing.

If she is happy staying in, vets recommend keeping cats indoors-it's safer.
