Hooking up is just something physical. A relationship is alot more than that. You have a friend, a confidant, a partner, lover, you spend time together outside of the bedroom and that person will call you his girl. You will also meet his friends. Otherwise you never go out just hook up in the sack, a intimate relationship.

Contrary to some opinions, hooking up is not necessarily a booty call. Perhaps this is a person that enjoys your friendship and company but doesn't feel the need to hit on you. That in itself is a compliment. A relationship can also be done with a good friend, as well as with a significant other. A good friend can accept you for whatever you are, whether you are the same gender or not. This makes for a great relationship. Either one can be a good thing in the right text...let your mind and heart lead you.

I think it depends. Im 26, so it may be a bit different. But, hooking up is just sex, or a sexual like relationship. Feelings arent supposed to happen. Its known from the jump that you arent each other bf/gf. Its just a day to day thing, no strings. Whereas a relationship is trying to get know a person and what they like and things progress.

in a relationship you guys might be more of friends sometimes, and lovers other times. in a hook-up its all about lust. You think the person is hot, you make-out, have sex, do whatever but it isnt based on liking the person but liking what they can do (sexually) and how they look to you.You could have a relationship with someone you think looks good, but that and sex isnt a true mature relationship. Thats more like 10th grade. In 10th grade you would go to a dance maybe, get some coffe, maybe. And the make out...definitly. maybe more...if you're a dirty wh.ore.
