Boy, you people are something. I agree that there are people out there that just hate the military. I have run into a few, they call me a murderer, mercenary, and all sorts of things. But for a veteran to say he thinks that the war is a bunch of lies, that just tells me that you must have forgotten a few things since getting out. The President will see more information than the public will ever see, and with this war the majority of the decisions he can choose to make are between two really bad choices. It really bothers me that people think the President is doing such a horrible job, when they themselves couldn't do any better. If you were President what would you do pull the troops out? OK, what would you do when the fight follows them back here? How would you react when we lose our Allies by pulling out? How would you expect to recover the American way of life after you screw everything else up? Before you criticize the President why don't you think about the desicions he has to make knowing that every move he makes is under the microscope. Most of our troops know more about the war than civilians will ever know, and most of our troops support it and volunteer to go back. When we declared war on terrorism Iraq was put in the crosshairs because it was supporting terrorism. We did not declare war on just those involved on 9/11 we declared war on terrorism and any supporters of terrorism.
Since opinions are like ***holes, I know everyone is going to say something about me. Frankly, I have probably heard worse than what you people could say about me, so if you really want to try and make me feel bad, embarass me, or anything like that you are just wasting your time.
BTW, all you people that say vote Democrat, keep in mind that throughout history Democrats have gotten us into more wars than Republicans. Even this war is a result of the inactions taken by a Democrat (Clinton). So don't blame this entirely on Bush.

Son, if you support the troops, you gotta think about their safety. Bush and his hacks have put these kids' lives on the line for nothing. Bush, AWOL, drunk Bush, Cheney, who never served put this war together with lies and it has cost us 2800 lives.
We owe it to them to get them the hell out of there as soon as possible.
If George keeps up with this, the military is going to be discouraged and angry like they were in Vietnam by the inept leadership.
We, all true Americans, support these brave kids wholeheartedly. Do not equate loathing of Bush for non-support of the troops. While smirking Dubya campaigned around the country last month, more than 100 kids died. That really pizzes me off.

I am a gulf war veteran, and my nephew is in Iraq. I hate Bush and war profiteers like cheney and haliburton, and i think the war is a lie. but how are people NOT supporting the troops? What does that even mean? I've never in my 38 years of life, EVER heard someone say, "Boy, I really hate our troops!" What are you talking about?

I am not sure what you mean. I am a military wife and 100% support my husband and all our troops in Iraq. Now I don't support the war on terrorism. I beleive that is bullshit and we dont need to be over there. Our troops are gettting killed out there daily by crazy wierdos who kill their famlily and blow up themselves. The reason why I get so mad about us being there is when I see our military on the news apologizing for killing Iraqi's. That makes me mad, its a war, people die why apologize. I dont see those muslims apologizing to us for blowing up our military guys/girls out there! This is a touchy subject! Who is right or wrong? There are different perspectives to everyside of a story wheather ur a civilian or military!

In no way are they protecting our freedom. The US invaded Iraq for no real reason other than a lot of already rich people got even richer from it.
I would never say I don't support the troops -- after all they are doing their job. But I'm not the only person who thinks the war in Iraq is wrong.

Some are getting Killed? Actually a lot are getting killed. Sure, we can say we support our troops yet it is our foolishness that has lead up to this mess. If you want to support our troops, vote democrat and get them out of there.

of direction it grew to become right into a risk. Saddam grew to become into engaged on weapons of mass destruction, and used them. He grew to become into interior of hours of making use of them against Israel while the 1st Gulf conflict made it impractical to attain this. The risk on the time that such WMD ought to fall into the palms of al Qaeda kinds grew to become into genuine on the time, and nevertheless is. If the U. S. does no longer attain Iraq, we could think that it could grow to be a house for an al-Qaeda - Taliban conspiracy purely as Afghanistan grew to become into, and with the WMD around the corner in Syria, it does no longer be long earlier they look interior the U. S.. it particularly is why calls to deliver US troops out of Iraq are so silly.
