Not in this time and era. I would like just one person to be for the people that was elected by the people. Great leadership is non existent in today's America. All I have left to do is pick by party, and pick the lesser of the two evils. Good question.

We have had honest men as our Presidents.
We have one now..
They have to swim upstream against the senate - congress - who will fight him tooth and nail, every inch of the way.. no matter the issue.
Then, we have the people of the United States.. face it, we can't agree among ourselves, just like any other 'family.'
We've lost respect for those we've voted for, long before we've voted! We've lost respect for ourselves..
Time to become a family again.. and act like one. Not like a bunch of sibling brats.
We either fight against each other, or turn around and face the world.. with hands joined together. If we don't, something/someone, may just take advantage of it.
You know the saying: United We Stand - Divided We Fall..
We have to stop thinking like individuals, and become a true nation once again.

Oh Sweetie, I have really liked the Qs you have put up here. How is that individual( he or she) ( please don't limit it to an honest MAN) Chances are ,an honest man will get there but is it possible to stay honest when you get there? That is the Q. As a voter, know the job.

I think some of them start out honest but can't stay that way. Politics is so messed up it corrupts the honest ones. That's the only way they can get anywhere in the "game". So my answer to your question is: He may start out honest but I don't believe he can stay that way.

Under the democratic system of indirect representation chosen by vote, adopted by all so called democratic countries, no. Only the worst are attracted to politics and, of those, only the worst get voted.

"Beware the one who wants to have power..."

"Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely"

Good people are most always the ones who stay away from power and politics, and anyone who does gets into power is faced with the temptation to abuse that power (and if not prepared will most surely succumb to that temptation).
