not too short or it will be too drastic for him so more of a shorter shaggy style.

I would put it in a braid and rubber band the top and bottom. I would then take the clippers and buzz him. I would donate the hair to locks of love. We would both feel good about that. If he didn't like it, I'd buy him a hat.

Cut it very short like one inch long. I would also suggest that the guy give his hair to "Locks of Love" if his hair was healthy. L of L makes wigs out of human hair for chemo. patients.
