Most likely it is nothing; however, you should bring her to a dentist and have them take a look and an x-ray. Usually that black color is just heme breaking down within the tooth! You want to have an x-ray done to make sure that the developing adult tooth bud was not damaged in the fall. If your daughter fell and pushed the baby tooth upward, it is possible that the developing adult could have been damaged by the root of the baby tooth. Also, if there an infection developing, that can cause damage to the developing tooth as well. It wouldn't hurt to get it checked out, just in case. Since she is 4, she won't start to lose her front tooth for about 2 years, better to make sure that nothing is going on underneath it! Hope that this proves helpful!

Baby teeth serve a very important purpose--they save space for the child's future permanent teeth.
A baby tooth usually remains in the child's mouth until a permanent tooth underneath it is ready to emerge through the gums. The roots of the baby tooth dissolve and the tooth becomes loose and falls out. The permanent tooth "comes up" a few weeks later. If a child loses a tooth too early--before the permanent tooth is ready to erupt--or if it is accidently knocked out, or is removed by the dentist because of disease, the space must be saved. A space maintainer is inserted to take the place of the "baby tooth" until the permanent tooth is ready to emerge.

No you don't becuase it's dead my 7 year old brother smacked his front baby tooth on a corner of a brick it turned black but it's brown now meaning it's dead and since it's a baby tooth it'll fall out when he's/she's older and it'll tighten up to but won't get any better then brown. but your kid must brush especially long there but not rough on any teeth becuase that makes the plaque and germs sink into the teeth so make sure you always watch your child when she brushes her teeth. Also have her use childrens mouth wash but only half the ammount it says becuase if she swallows it she'll have a bad stomach ache for a long time.

u have to go to the dentist straight away ( any kind of trauma should seek dental care ASAP ) , the tooth has died now, resulting in the black colour, if left it will turn into an abcess, the dentist may make the decision to remove the tooth or just the dead nerve, they will access that when ure 4 year old see them...
this can affect the permanent adult tooth underneath so it needs attention
good luck to you and the little one

Yes you need to take her to a dentist because an infection can get in and rot the gums, preventing a normal healthy tooth from forming.

Go to the dentist and take it out. If you leave it it can get infected and get into the gum... and eventually spread through the whole mouth. Small problems can turn into big ones so easily in the mouth!

I have braces, and my mom also had braces. I would just go see a dentist, and maybe he/she would recommend getting them pulled or just leaving them alone.
