The only Church whose teaching is in perfect harmony with the Bible is the Church which compiled the Bible in the first place - the Catholic Church. Since the bishops of the Catholic Church, and no-one else, compiled the Canon of Scripture, for no purpose other than its use by the Catholic Church, it should be immediately obvious to any thinking person that they would not have included in their book any texts that conflicted in any way with the teaching of their own Church. The teaching of the Church came first. Then the writing down of some of that teaching. Then the compilation into a book. The teaching included in the Bible did not become the Word of God when it was gathered into a book. It did not become the Word of God when it was taught by the Church. It became the Word of God when it was first spoken by Jesus Christ, God, to the Apostles. From that moment on this teaching, passed on by the Church primarily through oral Tradition, was the Word of God. When the Apostles mentioned certain aspects of this teaching in their correspondence, it was still the Word of God. And when the bishops of the Holy Catholic Church, gathered in Council at Carthage, North Africa, in 397 A.D., bound selected writings of the Catholic Church and the Jewish faith into a book for the first time, it was still the Word of God, and still the teaching of the Catholic Church. Christian teaching didn't deviate from biblical truth until men began founding their own unauthorized churches in the 16th Century, substituting their own personal interpretations of early Catholic writings for the fullness of truth which had prevailed until that time.

There is no consistency in Bibles. The words and the content change from sect to sect and sometimes by date of publishing. Christianity obviously does not follow the "Bible strictly" because no one would know which Bible to follow. The last time I researched the various editions of the Bible there were 2100 different versions.....and that is only the English translations.

If you believe it, you REALIZE THAT THINGS CHANGED!
Ephesians 2:15 Through his body on the cross, Christ put an end to the law with all its commands and rules. He wanted to create one new group of people out of the two. He wanted to make peace between them.
Colossians 2:14 He wiped out the written Law with its rules. The Law was against us. It opposed us. He took it away and nailed it to the cross.
Galatians 2:16 ...No one can be made right with God by obeying the law.
Galatians 2:21 ...What if a person could become right with God by obeying the law? Then Christ died for nothing!
Galatians 5:4 Some of you are trying to be made right with God by obeying the law. You have been separated from Christ. You have fallen away from God’s grace... The ONLY verse that talks about falling from grace, and they did it by trying to follow the law!
Jesus said he didn’t come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it. (Matt 5:17) The effect was the same. Once fulfilled it was no longer in effect. The very next verse, Matthew 5:18, looks forward to the time when the law would be set aside. "...Not even the smallest stroke of a pen will disappear from the Law UNTIL EVERYTHING IS COMPLETED."
On the cross, Jesus' last recorded saying, "It is finished," is an important milestone. Because of Jesus life, Satan had been defeated. The law was finished and would no longer stand between God and mankind.
The 10 commandments along with the rest of the law ("commands and rules" from Ephesians 2:15) were "set aside" when they were fulfilled or completed at Jesus' resurrection. We are no longer bound by that law.

it somewhat is not substantial lots who's stable approximately their faith. What concerns is that persons do ideal. The Bible says to no longer choose or condemn others. i think one reason of it somewhat is that as quickly as you're making judgements on issues exterior of your self, you at the instant are not listening interior your self, that's the place religious promptings come. additionally, it somewhat is to alter ourselves to grow to be extra like God that all of us started the hunt. So, in answer on your question, i does no longer even take under consideration how properly yet another Christian is following the Bible (nor how properly a Buddhist is residing via the Virtues, nor how properly a Muslim lives via the Quran, nor a Hindu the vedas). the substantial factor is to locate certainty and fill your guy or woman coronary heart up with it so which you will grow to be a stable guy or woman and start to comprehend God.

Not in the United States, they'd be thrown in jail in a heartbeat. Think about it, they'd have to stone their followers for :
wearing 2 different materials
picking up sticks on Sunday
disobeying their parents
Not being a proven virgin upon marriage.
Just impossible to maintain in a country of laws.

I believe the entire bible, but I know that it includes and old testament and a new covenant. As a Christian I am to live by the new covenant and also abide by the moral codes of the law in the old testament.
