In the west, romantic unions are sometimes imagined to be eternal, meaning, the two lovers will be together forever in a monogamous embrace.

Islam is totally different, which leads to an interesting query. A Muslim man can have four wives on earth. He is then rewarded with "virgins" in heaven. Some Islamic 'scholars' claim that the number of virgins is 72, but neverthless, there is no debate that the Quran promises virginal properties.

So, does the earthly wife or wives have to watch this brothel? Can she check out at this point? Is she ever even reunited in heaven with her husband or is Islamic heaven kinda like a permanent bachelors party at Cheetahs?

She should split before entering Heaven, like at this very moment; right now, split. Men like that are not worth it.

The Quran promises a great reward for all the good-doers, whether male or female. It even promises great rewards for the true followers of Judaism and Christianity and other religions. What is there in the after-life, it explicitly explains that it is too much for the human earthly mind to fathom. It should be left at that.

It does not say that they will recieve female virgins, they are white grapes. But like you know you dont speak arabic do ya:)

For example, the Quran says martyrs going to heaven will get “hur,” and the word was taken by early commentators to mean “virgins,” hence those 72 consorts. But in Aramaic, hur meant “white” and was commonly used to mean “white grapes.”

The wives on earth will be with him in the next life too. Unless there be divorce, all will remain the same.
