There was still a large period of time between Noah and the covenants of Israel, and Christianity. While Noah himself may have had a person relationship with God, his decendants didn't.
Curiously! did having a personal relationship with God save him and if so because I have a personal relationship with God then I
must likewise be saved.?

Thanks for the thought-provoking question. It really made me think. Noah was not a Christian, he was not even a Jew. He lived long before Moses, even before Abraham.

Whatever his religion was, it certainly was not Judaism or Christianity or Islam. This means that these religions are not the only ways to know God or to live a life of worth.

How about Enoch? He walked with God. What was his religion? That means one can walk with God and not be in one of these religons!

It takes a lot more than belief to be saved Noah also had works he acted in harmony with his faith and did what he was told to James 2:17-24 and as to religion Noah was a worshiper of the true God Jehovah hope this helps Gorbalizer

ooh good question.

I definitely think it was Noah's faithfulness that saved him, and just like in today's cultures, some people believe in God, some don't, and many have different interpretations of who God is.

I also believe that if you are searching for God, God does not ignore that - God will find you if you want to find God. Logically you can hope for salvation by the pattern the Bible sets of faithful people being rewarded by God, but I think that NOBODY knows who exactly will be saved - only God understands that.

that deserves a high five...they need to create something where we can give high fives over the internet...oh well...anways...the only thing i'm not too sure about is that...do you have a lively relationship with Christ...are you following his commandments, are you living your life according to His? now Noah was a cool guy, he had a relationship with God, but not only that but he did the will of God too. is this what you are doing? ...are you living the live of Christ? and i agree just cuz you have a great relationship with God that doesn't mean your children will...but according to His promise according to the word given to us from His son, sure...as long as you are truly living your life for Him

hope that helps or gives new insight :)

God made a covenant with Noah and his descendants, albeit a limited one, but their existence was still largely a pagan one.

Nothng that was done prior to Christ could save, in and of itself.

Religion is man's attempt to God. Christianity is God's attempt to man.
Simple. Noah found grace in God's eyes.
