Your going to be labeled and judged as a punk if you get a mohawk. Only get it if you really want. You'll get alot of greif if you do - Trust me. So if your capable to shrug off judgement and insult, go for it.

From a respectable point of view, I could propose wasting the mohawk (probably shaving head and going bald for a whilst). I in my opinion do not care what hair form a earnings character has, so long as they understand what they're speaking approximately. However, there are a few individuals (historic tuition, yuppies, extremely-gurus) that make assumptions through how individuals convey and exhibit themselves. You might be the friendliest character on the earth, but when individuals are not able to get beyond the hair, your commissions will probably be at the low aspect. Seems like mohawks are OK for video earnings individuals, mechanics and bikers (minimum buyer interactions). But while a patron is sitting all the way down to a mohawk, blouse and tie at the back of a table pitching a $5000.00 excursion, it could be rough to swallow for a few. Best of good fortune.

He's right the Mohawk Indian hairstyle was adopted by punk rockers and bikers because one of the many things Mohawk Indians were known for was fighting against the colonialists who obviously supported the Monarchy up to the sixty years Great Indian Wars right back to the first settlers such as the Spaniards, Dutch, and varied Europeans who came to the New World hence punk rock adaption for subculture anarchy, the image of the Mohawks were and are wrongly envisaged by today's modern societies, they lived on the land and were naturalists, the women did not have Mohawk haircuts it because they kept their hair long all around , the image now perpetuates in modern societies to social conformity for stars, football players, singers and quick fad ideas for individual statements for celebrities , there is also a similar look used by satanists which is not Mohawk Indian at all, I have been trying to explain this to a really ignorant woman that the indigenous Indian of the west like the Mohawk Indian is not satanists. If I was in your shoes which I am not I would not have the Mohawk haircut for a young woman like yourself it would spoil your look and make you harsh in appearance and as the fellow further on this page says, for a young person it could restrict your vocational impression ,

did you watch america's next top model with naomi (i think that was her name lol)
She was kind of punky with a mohawk (not a real hawk mind you, she still had hair all over her scalp but had the longer top hawk strip)
But she was able to make it beautiful and glamorous all the time for the photo shoots.
If you want a hawk but not a punky hard looking one, leave at least a half inch of hair on your whole head and then longer at the top for the hawk strip. Make it all chunky/fluffy yah know? Then you can gel it up for a strong hawk, or muss it all around for a quirky modern look, or you can press it down and put those adorably sexy waves in like a 20's flapper bob look.

I want a mohawk and there's nothing about me that's punkish. Go ahead and rock that mohawk and make the hairstyle yours. It will be cute I'm sure.

if i'm picturing it right, i think that'd look pretty weird. but i don't think it should matter if you're punkrock or not. You're you. So you should do what you want.
