In order to prove God, I have to be greater than God. Nothing can be known about God to humans.
The human knowledge acquisition mechanism consists of the five senses (input devices) through which information comes in, and the mind that processes the information. Since God is not accessible to any of our five senses, no verifiable information can be known about God. John, the apostle, confirms this saying that no one has ever seen God (Jh 1:18). Therefore, no positive statements made to describe God can be true. In other words, no facts are available about God. That is why God is not a subject of study under any of our sciences.
Theology is really not the study of God because God cannot be studied. It is merely the study of the human beliefs about God. It evaluates our theories of God, compares with one another, and finds out if they are relevant in human life.
We try to understand God in relation to the world. Looking at the vastness and complexity of the world, we assume that there is someone/something that knows everything about the world, and hold everything together as a coordinated system. If the world exists together as one whole system, then definitely, something is holding it together. Our science hasn’t found it yet. However, it would be foolish to claim that the world exists without a coordinating principle or force.

I can't prove that God exists in the same way that I can prove that 1+1=2. All I can do is present evidence that He exists. According to the book of Romans (chapters 1 to 3) the top three bits of evidence for His existence are:
1. Creation,
2. Conscience, and
3. Christ Jesus
If you do not believe based on these three strands of evidence, then there is NO hope for you in terms of being "saved."
Faith is a gift from God. He bestows it upon anyone He chooses, and He doesn't have to explain to anyone why He does not give everyone the faith required for eternal life in heaven.
Regards, Kidd

i'm with Abbygirl. faith in God is a moral, rather than an intellectual issue. no amount of evidence will ever turn non-belief into faith. and as someone wiser than the both of us said ''yet some will not believe though a man is raised from the dead.''
i try to shy from boasting, not always successful, but i will boast in this: ''that there is no arguement against basic christianity that cannot be refuted.'' so all of the arguements it'd take a lifetime to think up, ask other ppl for, research, or however you come across them, can all be refuted. but even when they are all exhausted, there still lies the problem of your unbelief. it wasn't about arguements in the first place. you've made your decision before either of us said a word.

No, this is not an original question. In fact I answered this same question not to long ago. I'm gonna answer this one the same way I answered that one: I can't prove that he exists just like you can't prove that he doesn't.
You know that there isn't any proof of his existence.
You just want to try and show that your smarter than the whole entire Christian community. You know what? You make yourself look pretty stupid by asking questions as small as this one, and I'll bet that you didn't know that.

Let me answer your question with a question. Can you prove that the wind exists?
You cannot see it. But you can deduce that it exists by observing it's effect on the physical world around you. You can see your hair move as the wind blows through it. You can see the leaves move. You can feel the temperature drop. From observing all the effects you can then say " I know that wind exists" even though you cannot touch it, hold it, or even paint it purple.
Why should you accept that the wind exists and not be willing to accept the Christians explanation of God existing by observing His effect on the world around us. Be consistent.

I have a brain with 120 billion cells & 130 trillion electronic/chemical connections and somebody created it. There are no books on your smurf Bob though :-)
For scientific evidence of God, I read the book "The Signature of God" and it truly wowed me.

Knowing something and proving it are two different things in many cases. But as an American I have to believe that the reason I have rights is because I was endowed with
unalienable rights by the Creator, as stated by the founders of this nation. Without that, no one (in this country) has rights.

Trace everything back to the original starting point. U can't have nothing and poof there is something without it being created. Keep tracing the universe back to when it started, you'll find gases moving around quickly and exploding when they collided. Then u have got to ask where the gases come from and u'll get atoms, then u have to ask where did atoms come from, and so on and so on. So when u trace everything back u will find that some diety created everything there for proving the existence of a God.

The very fact that our heartbeat is still beating without you remembering to turn yourself on is one. The beauty and creativity given to this world on a daily basis didn't just happen. Can you really believe that a explosion brought forth life. Try and put a hand grenade in your bedroom and tell me if it's going to create order or chaos. God loves you.

What is the first scientific principle? Energy cannot be created nor destroyed. What happened in that first moment of time? If energy cannot be created nor destroyed, something must have happened during those first few moments that was supernatural if you will. That is if you believe in the big bang. Let's say you had the big bang, where did all the proteins come from? There were very few organic chemicals in the universe in the beginning. In fact, scientists speculate that formadehyde and cyanide made up most of the organic chemicals that were there. How could a protein chain survive in conditions such as that in order to even create a one celled animal. Scientist have yet to be able to create life even in the most ideal conditions. How come? because, its way too complex. Even in this technological day and age, we cannot even create a one celled animal from scratch, how did it happen randomly? evolution you say? there are too many gaps in the fossils, haeckls drawings were faked and the tree of life drawing seems almost arbitrary. You decide.
