this sounds pretty serious. normally birds do not choke, because ther food goes right to ther stomach and dusnt usse the same passageway as teh airway. The reason why humans choke and other animals choke is because their airway is the same as the passage for food to the stomach, so the food can get lodged in the airway, causing you to choke. birds dont hav that, so it cud be other problems that make it seem like hes choking. Take him to the vet.

Birds don't really choke. Their food goes directly into the crop. If your bird is doing something that looks like choking it is probably very serious and he should be seen by an avain vet.

maybe give him something to eat that isn't so dry.. like some kind or fruit something moist to push it down. although i find it odd that if ur bird is choking u would have time to question it here

Probably a little bitsy Heimlich maneuver, just as you would for a person who is choking.

in all my years of bird ownership (20), i've never seen a bird choke.sometimes birds regurgitate food to their companions and it looks like they are throwing up seeds. they actually aren't throwing up, but trying to feed another bird or even you.
