Hearing other points of view, and contradictions in the Bible upsets them so much. Science and statistics seems to annoy Christians also.

then they'd have no one to preach to and condemn to hell--sucks all the fun out of them if they can't threaten anybody

Actually, Larry, I enjoy it very much. However, what I DON'T enjoy is when a person of a different belief asks a question of Christians, and they receive a reasonable answer (not necessarily from me, but from several Christians), and those answers are ignored, while the "best" answer that is chosen is one that agrees with their beliefs, no matter HOW insipid the answer is.
I love answering questions about so-called "contradictions" in the Bible. And questions about science and statistics. Doesn't bother me at all.

You are NOT the only one who's been getting reported a lot lately. Quit making yourself out to be a victim. I am a moderate conservative Christian, and in one night, I received TWELVE violation emails, after receiving fewer than three in the first six months I was on this site. And what's worse is, the things I was reported for were NOT violations.

I agree. And other religions shouldn't be able to go into the Christian section to bash the Christians. I think that there should be a section for all the religion's. Even the non religious people who want to talk about religion. ITs not just Christians who get sensative. ITs other religious people who get sensative as well. So it goes both ways.

First of all, I love to hear other points of view. I noticed contradictions in the Bible on my own when I was in jr. high. I adore science. In fact, it was almost my field. However, I do have a problem with generalizations.

Once again, generalizations .......... that is annoying

Considering I teach Science and find Science a confirmation of my beliefs on a regular basis.........wow

What kind of statistics would you be referring to? One must know where the information originates, under what circumstances was the information acquired, and know the creditials of the one bearing that information.

A little knowledge sometimes makes a person prideful and arrogant.

Nah, keep it all here. Makes it more interesting. Personally I think they should mix the "Mythology & Folklore" section with the "Religion & Spirituality" section. Since I find the myth of Zeus as plausible as the myth of Yahweh.

Science and statistics have nothing to do with Religion and Spirituality other then Science is the art of understanding GODs handy work. If you are opposed to GOD, Jesus and/or Christianity that's fine by me. I kind of like your dedication to opposing something you don't believe in. I for one do not believe in Space Aliens but I don't seem to have the desire to go to the UFO web sites on a crusade to disprove Alien Life Forms. But you are free to do as you wish.
May GOD richly bless you.

Atheists and other non-believers would still be participating in the section in order to insult Christians just as they do in this section.

That wouldn't stop non-Christians from going there. I guess they will just have to deal with being upset or find another website to hang out on.
