better not do that, it is against the law. Hard to say what will work best but I don't think stoning him is the answer. Pray first and ask God to give you wisdom in dealing with him.
The goal is to find the best possible resolution for everyone involved. Be faithful even though he is not. Stand up for what you know is right and be sure he knows it. If you have no communication with him, how can you have a positive effect on him. It might be best to keep a relationship with him.
Pray!!! Above all else, do pray!!! Buy don't hurt him. Remember what Jesus did with the klan that was about to stone the adulterous woman? He said to them "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" interesting that Jesus was the only one there who never sinned and He didnt cast a stone, He told her to "go and sin no more"

It seems to me that your question seems to want to focus more on discrediting the Bible than finding an answer to your question.
First, homosexuality is condemned not only in the old testament, but also in the new testament. See Romans. The n.t. doesn't tell you to stone homosexuals, just like it doesn't tell you to stone your children.
If you seriously want an answer to your question, perhaps Proverbs would be a better place to look. The whole book is wise sayings, including the ever famous, spare the rod spoil the child. It also says that if you raise a child up right, then when they are older they won't depart from it. Ephesians has some verses about how the dynamics of the family should work.

First thing to do is pray for your son, and look in the Bible and see what it says. It does say that the rod of discipline will send sin far from him. Make sure that you are focusing on the behavior and not allowing this to be an emotional issue. There are wonderful books in addittion to the word of God that can teach you new methods: The Power of a Praying Parent by Stormie Omartian. The Lord is a merciful, and loving God and he does answer prayers. God does want for your son to live a holy life and that can only be acheived with Jesus. Love your son, hate the sin. If you haven't asked the Lord to come into your heart, don't wait he is the only one who can help you in this situation.

spare the rod, spoil the child. often times the bible speaks in parables, not to be taken literally. We all have to learn to respect authority, for some it takes being broken. He may just be pushing to see how far he can go. Sounds like it is time push back hard. Maybe that's the only way. You should know his limits. Some people call it "tough love". Good luck. lol.

i'm gonna go with the new testament on this one. well first of all he needs to respect you, but secondly stoning him is prbly not the way to go about this....considering the story about the woman caught in adulterey, but hey i'm only a kid. so if Jesus told everyone not to stone this woman, i think your son deserves the same right. i like to think of the new testament as the love revolution...yeah i 'm dorky i know...anway...it's all about showing God's love for us, even the lowly and the sinners.
now about the homosexuality, this is my spill...Jesus never said anything about homosexuality and Paul, of what he did say, he also said it is best not to get married cuz it takes away from your relationship with God...so i'm not too sure where i stand on that issue, and i'm by no means trying to change any one else's opinion, but that is just my observation. and i have to say God loves homosexuals as much as anyone else, whether you consider it a sin or not...and should not be subjected to any type of humanly judgement, that is up to God and the person.
so take what you will from that
oh and what size rock...well if ur gonna go with that choice, uhm...i would say really light ones, but a lot of them
may the peace of our Lord manifest Himself in you,
~ames

Spare the rod, spoil the child.....that's what it says, BUT you cannot whoop a child's a** for being gay (that's what I'm gathering from your question). That is something you cannot change by force or even prayer if that is what he/she truly feels and that it's who they are. And u know that everything in the bible should not be taken literal, and what justified as punishment then is considered abuse and murder now.
BUT if you truly feel that way.......very big ones

I don't think you are really looking for an answer, but here is one for you anyway.
Ephesians 6:1 beginning"
Children obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Honor thy Father and Mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
That it may be well with thee and thou mayest live long on the earth.
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
And if you want to know about queers read,
Romans 1:24-32
Verse 28-And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Read all the verses if you are looking for the truth. If not, Don't.

properly, enable's see. From the passage which you quoted, you could desire to first deliver mutually each and all of the adult males of the city mutually. you could % ot try this at a rock backyard, different sensible, you will possibly have difficulty looking stones of sufficient length and weight to do any actual harm. you could desire to have a consensus from each and all of the cities adult males that your son meets the factors for stoning and you, of direction would desire to probable have your son there to stone. As a extra standards, Jesus has one extra requirement in the previous the stoning would initiate. it somewhat is modern-day in this passage. John 8:2-8 (New worldwide version) "At break of day he recognized returned interior the temple courts, the place each and all of the folk amassed around him, and he sat right down to coach them. the academics of the regulation and the Pharisees further in a girl caught in adultery. They made her stand in the previous the gang and suggested to Jesus, "instructor, this female replaced into caught interior the act of adultery. interior the regulation Moses commanded us to stone such females. Now what do you're saying?" They have been utilising this question as a catch, with a view to have a foundation for accusing him. yet Jesus bent down and started to jot down on the floor together with his finger. while they saved on questioning him, he straightened up and suggested to them, "If anybody of you is without sin, enable him be the 1st to throw a stone at her." returned he stooped down and wrote on the floor." So in case you will detect somebody who has in no way had an evil or egocentric thought, in no way ever sinned, in accordance to the regulation which you extremely % to enforce, then he would throw the 1st stone and the rest would proceed until eventually your son is ineffective.

very small rocks. We don't use that verse much anymore. You see its under the old covenant where you had to be perfect to be acceptable inthe eyes of God. But now we have the new covenant , which by the way still excludes homosexuals if they refuse to repent and give up their sinful ways . sorry.
