Religion is a way of life and Adam had no religion. He knew God in a very personal way. The answer of course is that it didn't matter then and it doesn't matter now. He worshiped God. The one God that most of us worship. The rest is just details.

Adam had a direct relationship with God until the fall of man when he disobeyed God. There was no religion back then, however, if one wanted to get truly technical, after the fall of man, God promised a new Adam, so that we could once again have a relationship with Him. Jewish people don't believe this Messiah has come yet. Christians believe that this Messiah was Jesus Christ. Thus, it depends on what you believe in, if you believe that Jesus was the Messiah, then Adam was closest to being Christian. If you believe the Messiah hasn't come yet, then he was Jewish. I believe that Jesus Christ is was and forever shall be the Messiah so I believe that Adam's religion was closest to being a Christian if anything.

I like to think of the word "religion" as a bad word. I am not religious. I am Christian.
Adam knew God. so he was a simply a child of God. He was not a believer because there were no non believers and there were not different religions so he was not a particular sect. He was a Child of God and knew God and Knew God existed.

He had RELATIONSHIP not religion.

After sin and the fall it was God's move as to when contact would be made.

Religion came about from man's attempt to re-establish that relationship.

Jesus Christ re-established that relationship when he took the place of sin and forgiveness was given by His grace.

Remember, it's not about Religion, it's about Relationship.

Adam was the first Christian on earth because the Lord had taught him of the Plan of Salvation authored by the Father and accepted by the Son, Jesus Christ.

Adam knew that the Christ would come in the meridian of time to sacrifice Himself for humanity because he knew the Gospel as taught him.

That is taking the Bible literally. Genesis is the story of who God is and who we are to God. "Adam" was created by God and had a direct relationship with him. Organized religion was unnecessary.

He didn't have a religion, he had God himself to walk with and to talk with.
I believed he loved him so much, he was his best friend.
We will never know what kind of things God shared with him.
