It could just be taking a while to get out of your system. These things can take time. If it were me - and this is just me being me - I would be going to the emergency room. Whether you want to just wait it out and see if it goes away is up to you, but it's not what I'd be doing. I'd be pretty scared by what I was feeling. I'm guessing the doctors could do blood tests and see exactly what is going on and what they can do to help. Like your doc said it might just be the fact you're panicking, but you want to be sure. Though if weed is illegal where you are, I guess you'd have to think about the legal implications of going to hospital. Where I live though, I'm sure they'd be pretty sensitive and wouldn't report you or anything lol. I'm not surprised your doctor didn't give you any medication. Anti-anxiety meds are usually for people who have severe and ongoing anxiety problems. They usually take a while of taking them regularly for them to actually work. If this is just a temporary short-term thing, then there would really be no point in taking them. Plus if the marijuana is still in your system it may (not sure) have some sort of adverse effect on the anti-anxiety drug. It might not be a good idea to be taking prescribed drugs if you're still wired up on something recreational. I hope you get well soon.

I own a English Bulldog as well. They are a very strange bread. My dog did the same thing when he was a pup and he does it now too but not as much anymore. We took our dog into the Vet and she told us that it's very common in English Bulldogs to not get enough oxygen when they breath because of their pushed in noses. She advised us to get his clef pallet clipped. So pretty much what I'm saying is dog's have the little hangy ball in their throat as well as humans. So you just get it clipped and they should be able to breath better. I know with my dog he snores really loud and it also helped with that too. Not to say he doesn't snore because he does! When my dog was a pup we would take him for a walk and he would throw-up and when we got his pallet clipped. he doesn't do it anymore. I would go ask your Vet about it. Good luck and don't worry your NOT doing anything wrong. Don't lission to the other people. Dog's are dogs but Bulldog's are a lot different. You just make sure you pick a Vet that knows about the English Bulldog breed. Most people don't realize how much work this breed is. Do your homework. It helps a lot!

You need to get your dog examined by a veterinarian. He could have several problems, ranging from a mild gastrointestinal upset, to a bowel obstruction. No one on here can give you any specific information because we cannot examine your pet. Your vet will have to do this. It is not normal for any animal to vomit as often as you describe it, so find out why and get it fixed.

In general, any time an animal is vomiting, it is prudent to pick up the food and water for 6-12 hours, because although the pet will be thirsty, any oral intake will most likely cause further vomiting, and will not provide any benefit to the animal. Besides, if you have ever had the flu, you know that when you are vomiting, you get really thirsty, but when you drink water, you toss it back up. If the pet is vomiting enough to be dehydrated, oral intake of water is not going to help. And if it has only vomited once or twice, it won't dehydrate in the half day that you restrict the food and water.

The two most common things dogs with this symptom, at this age, come down with are parvo and intestinal parasites. Both are very serious and will probably cause the dog's death if untreated. The god news is both can be treated successfully if you get him in to a vet.

There are other possibilities, as well. Vomiting could be a sign of an obstruction or toxic ingestion, for example.

I would not withhold water from the dog. In fact, I would try giving him some unflavored Pedialyte until you can get him in to see a vet. (which, hopefully, will be soon)

I had the exact same problem with my lhaso apso. He would get sick several times a day and his skin seemed to be red and irritated. None of the vets could seem to figure it out. So they took some blood and found that he was allergic to several common things in his dog food and around my house. The down side is that I now have to buy special dog food that you can't find a walmart of petco, and I had to give him shots at home by myself for about a year. He is 3 years old now and very healthy. Hang in there!

Throwing up that much and often is a sign of something being very wrong-This can range from an infection to allergies--Please take him to a vet and get him checked out--Also watch what he is throwing up and when for the vet to have in the records--As well as watch his stools and water intake--YOU do not want him to become dehydrated which can happen quickly--BEST advise GO to the vet..

Pups can get into a number of things they shouldn't. You really need to take him in to your vet, no one online can tell you whats wrong with him.
Go, get him in the car and take him now.

Take him to the vet for a checkup. This is not normal behaviour for a dog and something must be causing it. Better to get it checked now before he is really ill!
