Why do some call them cultist when they don't ask that you do anything but seek truth where it lays,not even asking for a donation.

Not everyone even know what Taosim is. I know that it is older than most major religions today and teach u about the leading a simple and enlighten life. I know it is not a cult. Until the actually take time to read anything in Taoism, they won't see how close it is to what Jesus's teach and how accurate it is.

Mainly because the mainstream Taoist had already been distorted from the original ideas. Taoism now mainly comprises of praying to deities, hoping for wishes to be granted. Whereas , the original doctrine of Lao Zi, Zhuang Zi and Lie Zi had already been forgotten.

I have never heard anyone call a Taoist a cultist. "Let Go - Let Tao." I am a Christian, but I do not see Taoism as a cult.

sounds like something i would like to try out. I cant stand it when anyone tries to tell another person their going to hell if they do not believe a certain way, its so cruel.
