What if you never met this person before and you haven't spoken to your sibling in 5 years? This person has meet a couple of family members when with the sibling, but never met you. What would you do?

No even if we haven't seen each other in over 5 years I wouldn't date a man that my sister had for nothing in the world, that shows the lack of respect in her and in you....Trust me if you do go through with it you are setting yourself up for major problems down the road and that is serious....Leave that one alone and find another man that your sister hasn't not had.

If you are excommunicated from the sibling I guess it's ok. I was going to say ask the sibling. But I understand as I don't speak to my siblings either.

I guess it would depend on how strong the attraction is and how strong my relationship with my sibling is. Since your relationship with your sibling is almost non-existent, then I would say All's Fair in Love and War!!!

well, really everybody has there right to a chance,,, even if you have a sibling that dated him it should not matter,,, and they should not get mad they moved on,,, so you just need to meet and give it a shot there is nothing wrong with making new friends,

Yes because it was four years ago even though they dated them it's time to get over i. It was only for six months.
