I have kidney stones and am waiting for lithotrispy. I am on pain meds and antibiotics in the meantime. Today I haven't had any more or less pain then usual but my urine is so bloody you can not see thru it . Do I need to call him or is this usual w/ stones. My surgery is next week.

i know with kidney stones there is usually blood present in the urine but if it is so bad that you can't see through it you should definitely call your doctor right away!!!! that doesn't sound good at all especially if there is that much blood so just to be on the safe side you should call! good luck i hope you feel better soon!

Had u been bleeding b 4? It is not uncommon, but if u r bleeding a lot, u might want to call him and let him know.

call your doctor right away because if it is unnatural then you should be worried and he/she may want to give you more meds in preparation for the surgery
