this is not the dark ages and if i ask a guy out yes i would pay cause i ask him out in and in return he would do the same for me that what you call common respect for each other

Says who? I think whoever eats the food, pays for the food. No one should have to foot the entire bill. It doesn't matter if the guy or the girl is doing it, it's just plain unfair.

I don't ask men out. I hint. Then they ask. Then if we go out, he pays. Its been done this way since the dawn of time. I don't see anything wrong with it.

well, no I don't think that it is a womans job to ask a man out on a date if he wants to bring you out then he will make all the arrangments... if he don't ask you then give it time and he most likely will if you have a good bond...

!!! it so happens that i'm staying in this place where if ladies ask, it's dutch (both sides pay their own) or they guys will offer to pay. if guys ask, they pay. and that's standard...
