You condition your hair after you shampoo it and you just do the ends and not the roots

What most people don't know about using conditioners...... Is if use an processing cap it allows the heat from your body to penetrate the conditioner to the roots of your hair. It helps strengths each strand. Another good thing about conditioning the hair is you can just apply conditioner to the hair just as shampooing twice a week. It adds body and volume and it moisturizes the hair. There are also conditioner that you can leave in and use daily such as Nexxus Humctress. It is a great moisturizer. Conditioners serve as a multi-purpose. I hope this information can be of help to you.

You should shampoo your hair first, then put the conditioner on your hair. Put the conditioner on your whole head not only your ends. Your roots need moisture just as well as the rest of your hair. Once you have done that put a shower cap over your head for about 15 to 20 mins, to hold the moisture. Then rinse and style. The shower cap works wonders!

For in-shower conditioner, you use it after you've thouroughly washed your hair from shampoo, then smooth a dollop (depending on hair thickness and length) ranging from the size of a cherry to the size of a stawberry. Focus on the tips, and go easy on the roots, because that's where it gets greasy the quickest.
As for leave-in conditioner, apply on damp hair, the same amount as above, and brush hair to distribute. Do not wash it out.
With leave-in conditioner, you're getting a slightly more intensive treatment for your hair.

after using shampoo and rinsing it out, use a good sized amount of conditioner and apply it mostly to your ends not so much on the roots so your hair will be less oily after (shampoo is best on the roots to get the oil out), massage it and leave it in your hair for about 3 minutes, then wash it out

*it kinda depends on if you have oily, dry or normal hair.
For oily hair you don't really need to condition it
For normal hair you just wash you hair like you always do and then put conditioner in, leave it on for about 3-5 minutes and then rinse it out with warm water.
for dry hair you wash & rinse as usual, and then put the conditioner in and this time you only rinse out some of it - leave a little in your hair to condition your hair until you wash it next time.

Best results...use a nickle sized dollop, apply to hair, comb through with a wide tooth comb or pick, leave on for 3-5 minutes (shave legs or wash body if you think you dont have time) rinse thoroughly!!!!!!!!! DO NOT USE TOO MUCH!! LESS IS MORE!!!!!
