Obagi Blue Peels-immediate results, week max of downtime, one to four treatments for optimal benefit.. Fraxel Laser treatment-goes deep beneath surface to the dermis and stimulates collagen production so patient sees visible results immediately but dramatic results are gradual over a period of 2-6 months, requires 1-4 treatments also.. Restylin? Botox? there's a new improved filler being approved for use this month-forgot the name-better than Restylin.. Carbon based laser treatments? what worked for who and how were the results?

Looks like you have really been doing your research!

I would say it depends on the depth of the lines and severity of the damage. CO2 Laser can take care of your skin in one session, but the downtime is several weeks and you may be pink and sensitive for many months afterwards.

A Blue Peel would be a good place to start and a deeper blue peel, ie 4 layers of 20% TCA may give you better results, although the downtime will be longer.

Also the Obagi Products, which you need to use to prepare the skin for the Blue Peel, are fantastic and you can continue to use them after you have healed.

I have had Erbium Laser Resurfacing which is somewhere between CO2 Laser and a TCA Peel. Results were modest, but still some improvement.

I've also had a permanent filler known as Bio Alcamid, although this was for creating cheek volume. Another permenanent filler called Aquamid may be better for smaller areas. There is also Sculptra and Isolagen.

I would start by using the Obagi products and then discuss with your doctor/dermatologist which treatment would yield the best results for you.

I'm not a big fan of botox and am not sure about how effective Fraxel is. There is also Intense Pulsed Light, which can treat discolurations and redness.

HTH : )

I wouldn't waste your time with Obagi Blue Peels..... by the time you fork out the money, over and over, you'd have been better off just getting laser resurfacing.

Botox does a great job of getting rid of crow's feet at the outer edges of the eyes, and for the nasolabial fold by the mouth and nose, too.

Restylane buuuuurrrrns. Ouchy. And for lasting 3 months? Nah, hold out for Artecoll, it's permanent and will be FDA approved within the year.

If you want to go under the knife to look younger, go for it. Just so you know, Mary Kay has what's called a Miracle Set. It shows immediate antiaging results, and it makes your skin better over the course of three months. If there's a new anti-aging chemical that's just hitting the news, that chemical is already in the Miracle Set. It's filled with peptides and collogen-producing vitamins. I have seen it do miracles on people's skin.

I would try one of these two products. Deep Crease Concentrate w/Bohylurox, which reduces deep expression lines in just a week. Or Line and Wrinkle Corrector, it plumps out facial lines and wrinkles in just a week. Bith of these products are great. Have heard no complaints yet. Check it out.
