we've been friends for a long time & i know him pretty well also he wrote a letter last year asking a gurl.....he's shy i guess when it comes to gurls

i think he was testing you to see how you would react and when you said no he had to say something to cover up his embrassement..if i were you i would just let it go or else you could wind up making him feel really bad....good luck to you.

If it was obviously not subtext, don't let him think he's fooled you.
All in all, ask some people who tend to have good, level opinions about what he'd probably do. If you can't find some people who definitely say he's a good person, don't take the risk.

I'd say he's a waste of time. If a guy doesnt have the guts to ask u out in person, then it aint worth it.

it depends. He could of been embarrassed and had to say that to cover his mistake. Or it is possible he is playing and said that to prove that he was not interested in the first place. just ask him - good luck

i dont think that guys or girls should be asking ppl out through emails, that jst shows that they are puissies or 2 chicken to ask them in person. but just talk to him in person to see what he has to say
