I've never been close to death but one night I had a strange dream. My dad is a police detective who works cold cases. Now my dad is VERY good at his job but he often uses unorthodox methods. Things he NEVER can share with his co workers because they might get him in serious trouble; such as consulting with his 13 yr old daughter (ME, daddy's little princess lol).
Anyway one night daddy's princess was having a nightmare and she got up and went into her parents room for them to comfort her. As I entered the room, my dad was putting on all his police stuff and getting ready to leave. I asked him if he was called out but was very agitated and said he had to go.
Ok, we didnt see him for three days after that. Of course he stayed in contact on his cell phone with my mom so she wouldnt worry about him.
He told me a few weeks later when I asked him about his dream that he dreamed a victim came to him in his sleep and told him things. He said I was in the dream with her and that scared him a lot. Anyway he solved that case in that three days he was gone and told me the things he learned in his dream led him to the bad guy.
He wouldnt tell me any more cause it would be inappropriate and promise to never tell anyone. My dad is considered very eccentric at work and only the women will agree to be his partner. He didnt even tell his partner (a really nice woman, She comes over our house for dinner sometimes and she thinks my boyfriend Jamie is a super nice boy that's why I like her).

Kinda, About 6 years ago I began a period that I will always call my years of hell. They lasted 3 years and I sunk into a deep depression. I truly wanted to die. Even the love of my son did not give me a reason to live. I never considered suicide but I would have been pleased if a bus had hit me and killed me.Even after the years of hell had ended and life was easier, I could not shake this depression that was consuming me. Two years ago I had surgery to remove my gall bladder and a hernia. When I was in the recovery room, they brought me out from under anesthesia a little too quickly. I came to and I could not breathe. I totally freaked out and struggled for air, it felt like I could not get any air at all. The doctors were telling me that I was ok but I didn't feel ok. Then I had a conscious thought that I will never forget, I realized that I was struggling to breathe because I wanted to live. I was thinkng that thought when they put me back under for a while and when I came out again, I was fine. I have never forgotten that life changing realization.
I started swimming and going places again. As of last Friday, I have lost 106 pounds. My whole life changed for the better. I am still on meds for depression and I feel good.
It is kinda funny that this question came up because I just got back from the grocery store. I ran into a lady that I worked with 7 years ago. She told me that if I had not spoken to her she would not have believed that it was me. She saw me coming down the aisle and thought, that can't be Sharon. I have been kinda down today and this lady telling me how great I looked has brightened my mood considerably. I am normal, I like to hear that I look good once in a while. That one experience with anesthesia changed everything for me.

I'll just mention this one thing, because if I said more, you would think I'm completely insane (which I'm not): I just had a dream that was something like the shows not over - Why are you leaving?

a million - wellbeing facility mattress while i replaced into 24. on the time, docs have been thinking surgical operation on my suggestions, until eventually that they had a glance for suggestion from and found out that there replaced into an infection, no longer in my suggestions, yet in my face, inflicting issues of my facial nerves. Technically, I wasn't going to die, yet i did no longer comprehend that on the time. i replaced into an atheist on the time, and that i remained an atheist afterwards. 2 - taking photos while i replaced into 15 (no, they weren't attempting to shoot me...i replaced right into a via-stander). mutually as working from the section, the harmless guy or woman next to me replaced into hit interior the returned of the neck and killed, yet no bullets hit me. in spite of the undeniable fact that it replaced into particularly close. i replaced right into a Christian on the time, and that i remained a Christain afterwards. ------- In the two circumstances, thinking what different human beings believed did no longer even ensue to me. In those circumstances, the flaws substantial to me have been the only issues on my suggestions.

Once I was high on meth, and I saw a naked man. I woke up next to him the next morning.
