My friend thinks they may be Greek (but maybe only because of the saying "It's all Greek to me"). Anyway, does anyone recognize these letters? I am trying to solve a "DaVinci Code" type quest for a geocache.

I think that word is in the ancient dead language of latin.Ask an history teacher or a ery old person they usually know latin

i'm greek but there's no such word in our language.but if you separete the word in it's components you get geo(which means earth)and cache(which means box,crypt etc).i hope i've been helpful.
