...when it was a council of Catholic Bishops that chose what books would be in the Bible to begin with. Bible's weren't around until well into the 3rd century AD.

Just to clarify guys, you may not have seen Bibles where you were, but there have always been Bible verses said and Biblical principles taught. I mean, I guess it's that they expect that you have your own Bible at home, you can read it yourself.

That's funny...The Catholic church was not around...what proof do you have? Nice touch, by the way, quoting something that has nothing to do with your argument. What, is the Catholic Church supposed to be represented in that? Good selection from scripture. Oh, and yes...historically it IS taught that the specific books chosen were chosen in the 3rd century. Do your research.

Who said that the Bible was THE word of God? I mean, technically you are limiting God to the Bible! Just because people chose to write down SOME things, doesn't mean that other things can just be passed down as common knowledge.

I agree totally with you. The Catholic Church does teach the Bible and we hear the Bible at every Mass. We have two readings and usually a psalm reading at every Mass. I really think it is a matter of jealousy with the other denominations. Just like Joseph's brothers were jealous of him they are jealous of us because we have the Mother that our Father loves the best The Virgin Mary. We love and honor her and they don't so I would say the proof is in the pudding.

The Catholic churches of these days are teaching traditions that were handed down from the forefathers as well Holy Scripture. This is unbiblical. This is what Jesus said about traditions. Mat 15:3 Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?"
Mark 7:7-8 " They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men. You have let go of the commands of god and are holding on to the traditions of men."
So to answer your question, people are saying that it is an unbiblical church because of these unscriptural traditions that they teach.
Jesus said "I am the way and the truth and the life." He did not say, "I am the tradition."

That is funny because every Catholic Church has bible study at least once a week.
Every day in every Catholic Church in the world a service is held and there are at least 2 readings from the Bible.

Try reading KJV Bible and you will begin to realize that the Roman Catholic faith is a sham.
The Catholic Religion is only 2006 years old. The New Testament was written by Jewish-Christian apostles. None of them are Catholics because there was no Roman Catholic Religion at the time.
The fact is that the Catholic Religion did not exist at the time of Jesus so Peter had nothing to do with something which did not exist.
The "true church of Jesus Christ" existed first and is separate and apart from Roman Catholicism.

The Catholic church was not official until around 600. The early church used the 66 books we use today as early as 100. The Catholic church did not choose which books would be in "their' Bible until the council of Trent in the 1600's.
You were wrong on everything.
I am not catholic, and never will be-but lets not falsely accuse them of anything.

Their Bible is not the problem(except the Apocrypha, you know,"Susanna,Tobit " etc.)It's the EXTRA Biblical teachings and ceremonies they perform.
Celibacy of priests(there's not even supposed to be priests according to St. Paul)Transsubstantiation, eating the flesh and blood of the Lord. The round "Queen of Heaven" wafer.Prayers to the saints(there is one mediator between God and Man,Christ Jesus, says Paul),Pergatory not in the Bible.I mean a million things....I'm not against you ,I think you are waisting time on nonsense instead of real Bible Study.

They say Catholic church un-biblical and I think the Protestant and Baptist churches are too biblical. Who is right I think it is a matter of personal preference.
