Maybe it's something mean that someone who claims to believe in Jesus said or did, David. Ever think of that possibility?

Not many people that would say they both know Jesus and don't like Jesus. Almost certainly that reaction is coming from someone who is feeling pressured into having a strong positive feeling about Jesus. Pushing them harder is going to make them fight back harder. You can introduce someone to the Word, show your honest personal enthusiasm, but at some point a person needs to make their own decisions. It's also quite possible the person has a great relationship with Jesus but doesn't the need to scream about it and doesn't feel the need to explain himself to anyone else. You can respect this, or you can risk associating "Jesus" and "annoying people" in his mind, and in the mind of others who witness repeated confrontations.

He is pulling against the spirit, he doesn't want to commit his ways to the Lord.
God is probably dealing with his soul and he is fighting it.

Where did you come up with this? It is a dumb remark.

One, he is dead. How can I like him? Two, I can like someone without thinking he is G-d.
