Symptom Relief 101

1) A hot or warm steamy drink in the morning is
great for the stuffy head and sore throat.
Breathe in the steam for maximum effect.

2) For stuffy cold symptoms, a vaporizer by your
bed at night is great, as long as you keep it
clean and don't let mold start in your room.

3) If you feel comfortable taking medicines
some tylenol or a generic equivalent will help
relieve fever and chills, and will help dull the
aching. Read and follow the directions and
warnings on the bottle carefully first.

How to fight disease 101

*These rules work during any global epidemic.

1) Keep your hands away from your face
except with a disposable tissue.

2) Throw tissues away or flush them, don't leave
them around to pick up later, they'll reinfect
your hands.

2) Stop kissing and touching the people who
share your illness until all of you are better.

3) Wash your hands every time you use the
bathroom or come indoors from outside.

4) Clean your counters, keyboards, and phones
with a babywipe. These have germicide in
them, and they get off stuff nothing else can!

5) Buy a couple of new toothbrushes and a
bottle of Listerine and throw the old
toothbrush one away. Use the Listerine every
time you use the bathroom, find a small glass
and soak your toothbrush in it every time you
brush. *Note: If you soak it longer than 1 hour
it will get too so ft to use, so switch with the
2nd new one every day.

* These are only necessary if there is a serious
public health threat or epidemic:

6) Wear gloves everywhere. Change them
between places and after using the bathroom.
Plastic or latex gloves can cause skin
reactions in some people. If this happens
to you use cotton.& put them in plastic ziploc
bags, and wash with hot water and bleach
daily. Dump them straight into the wash from
the bag, don't let them touch you.

7) Wear a disposable surgical mask, change it
often. Throw them away in well
marked "infectious waste" containers,
don't leave them around to re-infect you or
others.

Stop eating. Start drinking this throughout the day and night:

8 oz hot water
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tablespoon grade B maple syrup
up to 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Not only will your cold go away, you'll feel better in other areas as well.

If you want to get well even faster, when you wake up in the morning drink a quart of warm salt water (1 teaspoon of salt) before starting the "lemonade." Don't leave the house for a couple of hours; you'll need the toilet a few times ;-)
