With America growing more and more out of touch and out of step with the rest of the world and their penchant for "Pre-emptive war genocide, racism, spying, neo-con governments; policies of economic and ecological devastation for the rest of the world, are they doomed to fall onto the same scrap heap of the past empires?.. if so when? and how soon do you hope so?

Mmm it’s hard to accept this fact, but it's true. The worst of this situation is that is too late to stop this process, and there's nothing we can do. The key for the success in the US was the relation of respect that we had with God and humanity, but at this time the US only cares about wars. Sadly, we'll have to accept the idea that US will collapse sooner or later, and that's when we will realize that we are not alone in this world, because there's others countries and we have to learn how to live together. If Empires like Roman fell down, why the US Empire had to be this exception? This is the hard reality. I just can’t assure you how long will this process take, but it’s for sure that it’ll happen, someday, somehow.

If it wasn't for WWII and then the Cold War, the U.S. would still be an isolationist country. The U.S. is actually returning to it's isolationist roots. Now there are only three countries the U.S. deems as enemies. One is Cuba, but that's generally because of hard feelings and not because it's a military threat. The Other is Iran and a regime change is hardly possible since the government was elected. The Third is North Korea and that country is literally starving. Notice the U.S. isn't going into Africa and has about 10% of it's military in Iraq and Afganistan combined. The U.S. has about as many troops in Iraq that Britian had in Iraq in the late 1800s when Iraq had 1/10 the population.

Spying is done through out the world. China has plenty of agents in the FBI and North Korea use to (and still may) kidnap Japanese people and then send in agents to impersonate them.

The U.S. is going to morph into a Latin American country in 100 years and the general population doesn't care because they will be dead.

To answer your question first, about 50 years or so. America will be challenged by some rising power(China?Iran?, it doesn't have to be a global power, just a key regional power with the ability to deter and deny) and will have to fight either a hot or cold hegmonic war against them . America may end up winning the war, but will be too exhausted afterwards to continue its role of global leadership. Now, to address your generic European stance of "big dick envy." The fact of the matter is that if America falls and there is no benevolent super power waiting in the wings to take its place, then the world will be in trouble. Even all of the American haters out there(and especially those residing in Europe) will not like the consequences. This is because when there is no clear #1 there are chaos and wars to assert dominance. This is what happened in the Dark Ages after the fall of the Roman Empire and the reason for WWII(this is due to the fact that the British star had faded and America was not yet willing/able to assume hegemony). So, until the EU is ready to assume hegemony(if it ever will be ready), US dominance is the next best thing. Even though American actions may not always demonstrate it(Guantanimo Bay, Abu Ghraib, Mai Lai), America is one of the most benevolent nations and respects human rights more than the vast majority of states. This is because America is the offspring of the same Western history and enlightenment that has evolved to value the empowerment of people through democratic governance, the rule of law, and the increased standard of living provided by varying forms of capitalism. From a more pragmatic view point, American dominance has served the interests of Europe very well in the past half century. The welfare states of Europe would not exist without American hegemony. This is because the money that European states should invest in their military and defense budgets go to gracious welfare programs like free healthcare and free education. The reason this is possible is because America is footing the bill for European defense. European nations do not need to spend as much on their military because America has 100,000 troops stationed on the continent and provides nuclear defense gurantees to some countries. One might argue that these are not needed and/or wanted, but, and the governments of the European countries would agree, they ARE needed. Kosovo demonstrated that Europe's military capabilities are not able and/or willing to provide stability on their own turf. They need American assistance. Also, when Russia tries to reassert itself in Eastern Europe(which history says is bound to happen again), Europe will need American military might to deter/defend against Russia. Right now even the strongest European militaries are grossly underfunded and underprepared for confronting an assertive Russia. Also, European economies have prospered greatly from international trade. In order for international trade to occur there must be relative stability in the world and the vital trade lanes(ie the straits of hormuz & malacca, and the panama and suez canals) must be kept open and safe. At this moment it sure as hell ain't any European military that is providing either of those requisites. So, while American taxpayers suffer through a lack of universal healthcare and expensive education because they are paying for the prosperity of people all across the world(and especially Europe), it is somewhat annoying to listen the constant bitching of ignorant and ungrateful Europeans.

Your all the same. All you can talk about is how horrible America is. What empire are you talking about. I assume your from Europe. Let's see in the past ten years Europe has experienced genocide in Bosnia, a rise in far-right anti-immigration parties in France, Italy, Germany to name a few, riots in France . My question is how soon until Europe converts to Islam and loses it's culture and we have another wave of mass immigration to America?
