Because he wrote things downs, he was revered in his time and is hugely influential in his thoughts. While all testimonies to the existence of Jesus are indirect and hearsay. Since out of all the people who wrote the bible none of them actually saw or met Jesus.

Plato wrote down philosophical thoughts, leaving behind a considerable number of manuscripts.

Jesus wrote down...nothing.

Can't say that I know a lot about Plato. But with Jesus and Muhammad, their proof lyes in Scripture.
