There are several places where you can apply for scholarships and financial aid out there. It does not cost a thing to apply for them or locate them.
First, apply at FAFSA.ed.gov during January or early February of his senior year in high school if he is currently attending. It will help him tap into need based financial aid from the federal government and the college itself.
Second, 35 states offer a website where students can apply for college admission and state college grants and can be located on Google.com and Yahoo.com. If your state is among the 15 states, you can find state college grants by searching your state's government website.
Third, if he is currently attending high school, the high school guidance office has a list of local scholarships.
Finally, I recommend joining several free memership scholarship search websites. Most are updated on a regular basis.
Good luck!

your son is now an adult. Do not apply for him let hiim apply him self. Parents that do too much for their kids set them up for failer when they reach the real world. I have seen kids at the registrars office entirely embarassed because thier mother was butting in and asking questions.
