I've heard that Sicilian style deep dish is popular right now in New York. Is this the Detroit version(Toppings underneath cheese or on top) or the old world(mixed in with the crust)?

I think that Sicilian has always been popular here! I know I have been eating it for the last 30 years or so!

Don't know about "Detroit" style pizza, but most Sicilian is served plain, or with toppings on top of the cheese. I don't know that I have ever seen it with toppings mixed in with the crust.
