He had the lump when we got him, but it looks a little strange. It doesnt seem to bother/ irritate him either. It is not a tiny bump, but rather a teeny bit smaller than a bouncy ball i guess. I was just curious, and im tired of my fiance telling me that it's a tumor.

It's probably a lipoma. The vet can confirm this by aspirating a small amount of it with a needle and checking it under a microscope (it's painless for the dog). My Rottie mix has a lipoma on his shoulder. It doesn't bother him at all.
I was told I didn't need to worry unless it changes in any way (becomes bigger, firmer, begins draining, etc.)
Get a vet's opinon, and have fun with your puppy!

I have had three rottie puppies and none of them had a soft lump on their heads. So I would have to say that is NOT normal. Go to the vet and he check it out....Make sure you train you puppie correctly. He will stubborn, but be consistence with him.

Good Luck

It could be a cyst or an absyss, i which case it may not bother him, but could turn into cancer further down the road. My cat had a cyst at the base of her tail for years, and it just turned into cancer a couple of months ago. He' s a puppy, so it should be able to be removed without many problems. Good luck.

I would say go to the vet and see what he/she thinks--It could be a number of things causing it or it could be normal--But a puppy having a tumor would be very uncommon though...

that is in all possibility a lipoma. The vet can verify this with the help of aspirating a small quantity of it with a needle and checking it below a microscope (that is painless for the canine). My Rottie combination has a lipoma on his shoulder. It would not difficulty him in any respect. i become informed i did not might desire to fret except it adjustments in any way (turns into larger, much less assailable, starts off draining, etc.) Get a vet's opinon, and function relaxing mutually with your puppy!

If it is as large as you say, he needs to go to the vet! That just isn't right.
