It's always worth a shot... Try to flirt some more back, show him you're available... If nothing happens after awhile and feelings are still strong, just ask him out!

There may be a bid difference between how much he would like to spend on a date with you and what he can afford. I am sure he would like to make a very good first impression, but can't afford champagne on a hamburger budget. This is where you can be a big help. You can think of some things to do that are fun, yet inexpensive. Ask him if he is interested in those activities and if so, let them know you are two. Once he figures he knows of a place you might actually want to go, he will take you there.
Guys aren't that complicated.

some boyz find it hard to ask some girls out. like i met this boy in 6th and i didn't know he liked me but we flirted constantly. and he tried to ask me out at the beginning of 7th (this year) but he doesn't have the courage. and the sad thing is 2 weeks ago while football season wasn't over at are school he sat beside his girlfriend and still flirted with me

some guys are like that. they'll flirt with any girl. if he flirts with you more, he's probably interested in you. i say flirt back. see where it takes you.

maybe because youre not returning strong enough signals and he feels there's a possibility of rejection. maybe he thinks youre flirting in a friendly way.
